Available for auction is this 2002 BMW Z8 finished in Black (668) over a two-tone Crema and Schwarz Nappa leather interior. A total of 5,703 BMW Z8s were built as an homage to the classic 507 Roadster, and came equipped with an S62 V8 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This nicely-preserved Z8 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California, while just under 22k miles on its odometer.
Designed by Chris Bangel, Henrik Fisker, and Scott Lempert, The Z8 features fender vents with BMW roundels and front grills which harken back to the original 507. This example is finished in Black (668) and features a color-matched hardtop. The seller notes that minor swirl marks are present on the hood and has provided a collection of detailed images which can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. Details include xenon headlamps, fog lights, neon tube tail lights, chrome side mirrors, and dual polished exhaust tips. It rides on a set of Z8-specific 18” Style 59 split-spoke forged alloy wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport All season tires from 2020.
The cabin is upholstered in two-tone Crema and Schwarz Nappa leather and is accented by body-colored trim. The driver-focused layout includes a center-mounted instrument cluster and beautifully sculpted aluminum knobs, switches, and touchpoints. Amenities include heated power-adjustable seats, remote keyless entry, a push-button ignition, and a 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. The seller notes that the cabin shows minor signs of wear and confirms that all gauges and accessories remain functional.
Power comes from a front mid-mounted 4.9-liter S62 V8 engine shared with the E39 M5 sports sedan. The lightweight aluminum S62 uses double-VANOS variable valve timing, quad hollow camshafts, and individual throttle bodies to produce up to 394 HP and 368 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission and a mechanical limited-slip differential. The CARFAX includes four service history records, three of which are from 2022.
This sale will include a clean title.

@CurtGT3RS The instrument panel is functioning properly, and the tire date codes are 2420.

@CurtGT3RS Assuming the tires have not been changed, you'll see the charge for the tires on the Concord BMW invoice. I had them installed then so they are about 2 years old and have about 1,000+ miles on them. That invoice is from my ownership before the seller had the car.
Had to happen sooner or later and...here it is. One of my former cars for sale online!
I am "Owner 4" of this car. I consigned it last Summer and it was sold on my behalf to the current seller. It was a fantastic car and I can confirm, at least when I sold it, there was no evidence of paintwork or accidents. I sold it with the Motorola flip phone, but that seems to have gone by the wayside, otherwise it seems to be all intact.
I'm glad to see the seller had the strut brace done, as that seems to be important to buyers. However, I can confirm that I never drove it hard during my short ownership, and the person I bought it from, who had had it for about 15 years, was fastidious and no boy racer himself.
The car has been well taken care of and the new owner will not be disappointed. Frankly, if the bids don't get much higher, the new owner may be a previous owner.

@GrpNorCalBMWguy @Grp5CSLxPTGgts Thanks for your questions!
The car comes with 2 keys, no coffee table book with the car. The is a hardtop stand but is not the original one. The car does not have the Motorola Flip phone with it.
The service records attached are the only one we have with the vehicle as of this moment.
Uploading photo of the lower drivers side bolster.
Nice color combo.
How many keys?
Do you have the coffee table book for the car?
Hardtop stand? Motorola cell phone?
Any other service records of oil changes or brake fluid flush over the years?
Can I please see a photo of the driver seat lower outside bolster. Thanks. I’m interested but need more info.
