Introduced in October 2000, the third-generation BMW M3 was based on the E46 3-Series chassis and featured a new S54 inline-six engine with an output of up to 333 HP. This 2002 example is an M3 Coupe finished Alpine White III over a Cinnamon Nappa leather interior. It comes equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential as well as xenon headlights, heated power-adjustable seats, a three-spoke M steering wheel, a weighted ZHP-style shift knob, and 18” M double-spoke wheels. Having undergone a rod bearing recall as well as recent paint correction and inspection of the subframe, this M3 is now being offered for auction out of Texas with approximately 46k miles showing on the odometer.
The E46 M3 is visually distinguished from a contemporary 3-Series Coupe by its unique bumpers, round aerodynamic mirrors, front fender vents, side skirts, trunk lid spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, and “power dome” hood. This 2002 example is finished in Alpine White III with black Shadowline trim and factory 18” Style 67 M double-spoke wheels. Other equipment includes a glass sunroof, xenon headlights, integrated front fog lights, electric pop-out rear quarter windows, black kidney grilles, and clear turn signal lights. The car rides on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires sized 225/45 up front and 255/40 in the rear. The seller adds that paint correction has been recently carried out and the exterior remains in excellent overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this M3 features Cinnamon Nappa leather covering the seats and door panels complemented by Brushed Aluminum Shadow trim, black carpeting, and an Anthracite cloth headliner. Accessories include heated and power-adjustable front sport seats, driver seat memory settings, a three-spoke M multifunction sports steering wheel, an M footrest, M3-branded door sills and floor mats, a weighted ZHP-style shift knob and suede shift boot, a rain sensor, an onboard computer, automatic climate control, cruise control, a BMW Business CD stereo, and a Harman/Kardon sound system.
Featuring individual throttle bodies and double-VANOS variable valve timing, the E46 M3 is equipped with a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six engine rated at 333 HP and 262 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes the rod bearing recall service was performed in November 2004, an oil change was completed in June 2022, and the fuel filter was replaced in August 2022 along with a brake fluid flush. The subframe was also recently inspected and reinforcements were deemed unnecessary.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for looking at my E46 M3. A clean car inside and out. It was pampered and garage-kept. It's an incredible car. As above, it was recently serviced and has no issues. Please ask any questions.”

@f6n_ayan the 2004 one was for the recall.
@2JZ84 - rod bearings were done in 2022? one of comments that you responded to say 2022, but the listing states November 2004 as a part of the recall. Was it done twice? Or just in 2004 as a part of the recall at a dealer?
@f6n_ayan we will correct it now
@f6n_ayan it is working. I contact PCARMARKET.
@2JZ84 - Thank you for the quick response! I just want to confirm that you are saying that the radio knob *is* functional (since it says otherwise in the description of the listing). Thank you for clarifying.
@f6n_ayan All the radio knob functional.
@Trlbrk dirt.
Seller - Could you also comment on the issue with the radio knob? Is the entire knob not functional -- affecting both (1) on / off and (2) volume up / down?
Seller - The passenger side wheels look as though they may have been spot repaired/sprayed (as a result of curb rash), or maybe it is just dust/dirt? Can you comment on this, please? Referencing photos 62/63, specifically.
Thank you.

@jas0n1985 no.
@2JZ84 got it, but no paperwork for it correct?
@jas0n1985 it was under previous owner.
Bid in the amount of $29,250
@2JZ84 do you have the paperwork for the rod bearings that was done in 2022? Trying to find it in the photos.
@collectorcars I didn’t receive much when I bought it. Since I own it, I have the CARFAX report, Subframe, and VANOS inspection. Build sheet. In June 2022 the rod was done—all original paint. 18's only.
Bid in the amount of $29,000
@seller do you have service records? At what mileage were rod bearings done? Is the vehicle all original paint? Do you have the 19’s?

@Evv3 All reading are 6. trunk alignment are perfect I will ask my wife to take couple of pictures.
@911gt3
I'm currently out of state for some real estate business.
@seller, I'm relatively local. Can I swing by and look at the car?
@2jz84 Can you give a synopsis of the paint meter readings? Are these slightly high? Some of the photos are dark and hard to read.
Does the trunk alignment seem slightly off? Not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me but it does appear ever so slightly off. I could be mistaken. Zooming in to the top left corner of the trunk on photo 11 shows a weird gap as well. Appreciate any input.
