The 100-Series Land Cruiser was introduced in 1998 featuring significant advancements, including a new independent front suspension and a more powerful V8 engine. This 2001 UZJ100 example was initially acquired from Franklin Toyota in Statesboro, Georgia, and has since spent time in Florida and Tennessee. Featuring a 4-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, a locking center differential, automatic climate control, and much more, this Land Cruiser is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee with approximately 152k miles on the odometer.
This Land Cruiser comes finished in Thunder Cloud Metallic and rides on silver-finished later-model 16” five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Defender tires. Equipment includes fog lights, running boards, rear mudflaps, a rear wind deflector, a rear window wiper, and a receiver hitch. The seller notes a later-model grille and headlights were fitted, the front bumper was refinished, and minor signs of road wear are shown on the hood. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor damage to the front end in March 2018.
The cabin presents Shadow Gray leather upholstery accented with Woodgrain trim along the dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes heated power-adjustable front seats, a split-folding second-row bench, folding third-row seats, an updated later-model steering wheel, and WeatherTech floor liners. The original floor mats are said to be included in the sale. Other amenities include automatic climate control, a Pioneer touchscreen head unit, and a custom sound system. Some surface wear is noted on interior components, and the front passenger vent’s wood trim is missing.
Power comes from a 4.7L 2UZ-FE V8 which produces up to 228 HP and 302 lb-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven by way of a four-speed automatic transmission paired with a dual-range transfer case and locking center and rear differentials. The 100-Series was the first Land Cruiser to feature independent front suspension, offering a substantial improvement in handling and ride quality. Service items throughout 2023 reportedly included replacing the brake master cylinder, traction control ECU, water pump, timing belt, power steering pump, radiator, and coolant hoses. The seller notes an invoice from November 2023 indicates that the alternator was noisy during operation.
This sale will include a clean title, a window sticker, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and the original floor mats.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a very well-kept and maintained Land Cruiser. It is very comfortable to drive. A great truck that has many more miles and years left for the next caretaker.”
