Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and factory equipped with exclusive carbon fiber trim pieces as well as a 6-speed manual transmission, this 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe has undergone extensive modifications including a TechArt body kit, custom wheels, racing bucket seats, a full roll cage, and EVOMS engine performance upgrades. Accompanied by some maintenance history including the invoice for a major engine-out service, this Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Illinois.
This Coupe comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and features a full TechArt bodykit including a unique front fascia, flared side skirts, rear valence, and a large GT2-style wing. The rear model designation has been removed and carbon fiber decorations have been added to the B-pillar trim. The car rides on a set of aftermarket 19” wheels finished in black with polished outer lips and Pirelli P Zero tires. Some track use has been reported, although the condition of the exterior is said to have been very well-kept. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with an accident-free CARFAX report.
The black interior has been stripped of its carpeting and lined with rugged diamond plate floorboards as well as a fully integrated roll cage, three-spoke Sparco steering wheel, and a pair of GT3-style racing bucket seats with Schroth safety harnesses. The rear center console and air vents are painted to match the exterior and the car came factory equipped with exclusive carbon fiber trim pieces on the dashboard, instrument surround, and center air vent bracket. An aftermarket Alpine head unit has been installed and some general signs of wear are present throughout the cabin. The CARFAX report shows a mileage odometer rollback and the true mileage has not been confirmed.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to all four wheels. This example features an EVOMS-upgraded engine featuring a cold air intake, performance tuning, a race exhaust system, and stainless-steel headers. The CARFAX report shows 9 prior service history records and the seller states all major maintenance items have been addressed. Some invoices are available for reference in the gallery.
This sale will include some records and a clean title.

FWIW: This isn't a full rollcage. I'd call it a reinforced roll bar. Either way it looks like it didn't meet reserve.
This could be fun…

@luis.seneriz lol you got it bro!
Don’t worry if the price is right I’ll figure a way to
Put a lazy boy recliner in there.
I’m 511” 260. I drove my 99 coupe 1300 miles without a stop, I drove the 03 turbo 1698 miles without a sleeping stop. I don’t know I can do this on racing seats.
@luis.seneriz I am 5’11 and 190lbs. The seats are very comfortable compared to factory 996 turbo seats these have much better lumbar support!
I may be buying. Talking to my friends to taking it to the Texas Mile to see how fast it can go. Don’t know if my big as? I’d going to fit in those race seats. Could be a pretty cool play toy,

@Mongoosedoc 1 key! Yes heat and ac work
So heat & a/c still function also do have both sets of keys?
@tedg04 it’s a track 996 turbo! I drove this car downtown chicago and back down 290 highway.
This car had a range 2 ignition a couple of hours before the DME report was pulled?
I mean, I would expect a modded 996 Turbo to have some ignitions in range 1 and 2, but this car has more ignitions in range 2 than 1 and pretty recently.

@gjelliott the car is having over rev report done at Barnaba and undercarriage pictures taken. We can shoot another drive video with windows up but please note this car is lowered has a body kit abs no sound detention on the interior!
Can you tell me what that loud noise is when you slow down and turn? My daily driver has a bad buffing noise if I have a window open but it doesn’t make that noise when I’m going slow and turning. Can you make a video with the windows up?
@tedg04 it’s an aftermarket body kit the plastics tend to be a bit off when painted. In this case I think it’s more the lighting and the way the pictures were taken.
Is it just me or do the bumpers and side skirts look a shade lighter than the rest of the car in several of the photos?

Driving video included above.
Undercarriage pics will be done tom! We finally found a lift!
@nyucfsu our staff is working on the requested items and will be posting them once we have them completed thank you ?
@collectorcars Thank you for posting these videos. It would still be very helpful to see a driving video and pictures under the car. I think most bidders (including me) would like to see these. I agree with @luis.seneriz on the over-rev report, too. There is a lot to like here, but extra risk with a car modified for the track.
@luis.seneriz we will work on the requested items and post them thanks!
We definitely need a DmE over rev report and a driving video.

@collectorcars Can you post cold start and running & driving videos? Also, pictures of the engine from below. For a car that was clearly built for track use, those will be important to see.
