Introduced in the U.S. for the 2001 model year, the 996-generaition Porsche 911 Turbo is favored for its powerful twin-turbocharged Mezger engine derived from the Le Mans-winning GT1 race car. This launch-year Coupe is finished in Lapis Blue Metallic over a Graphite Grey full leather interior including optional Sport Seats, Digital Sound Package, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) along with a 6-speed manual transmission. The car is accompanied by service records dating back over 15 years and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Ohio while preserved with just over 12k miles on the odometer.
The Turbo’s bodywork is wider than that of a contemporary 996 Carrera and includes unique front and rear bumpers, side skirts, integrated side air intakes, quad exhaust tips, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. This Coupe is finished in Lapis Blue Metallic and rides on factory 18” 911 Turbo wheels with colored Porsche-crested center caps. A few minor imperfections are highlighted in the photo gallery and the seller notes the Michelin Pilot Sport tires show date codes from 2020 in the front and 2019 in the rear. A clean CARFAX report has also been provided.
The cabin is trimmed in Graphite Grey full leather upholstery including optional heated and electrically adjustable Sport Seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a matching Alcantara headliner. Other equipment includes automatic climate control, power windows and mirrors, a rear window wiper, an electric sliding sunroof, Digital Sound Package, and PCM with a remote 6-disc CD changer.
Up to 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque are sent to all four wheels from a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 4 seconds while stopping power comes from red 4-piston fixed brake calipers and 330mm cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller states the coil packs and spark plugs have been replaced and that the most recent service was completed in December 2022.
This sale will include a clean title.

@ToddH677 Thank you. Didn't quite make reserve but I'm sure Pcarmarket will do their thing with the high bidders. Y'all stand by your phones.
@switchcars have watched this beautiful car all day! Good luck
@ToddH677 Reserve is like Fight Club. We don't talk about Fight Club.
This bidding war is like Fight Club too, lots of punches being thrown!
This is such a beauty and worth every penny and more, I have a 996tt, I’m talking from experience.
Hope reserve gets met soon!!

@Cadejo go for it
This should be a six figure car.
@switchcars. Thanks a bunch. Guys this seller is first class. I was willing to trade my car and pay to get this one. I provided all the info to the seller and he gave me a trade offer. With my car I will have to take out many performance parts and I have done quite a bit of work to it in a year. The pricing reminds me why after looking for 18 months I finished buying a black car instead of blue. GLWTS

*heart's content. Michael Scott moment there.
@MauroC read the bidding rules. It resets only in the last 2 minutes to eliminate sniping, or jumping in at the last minute to steal the car.
@MauroC To replicate a live auction and so that everyone has a chance to bid to their heart's extent.
why does timer reset to 2min 15 sec after every bid? WTF?

I have to scratch my head in confusion why this stunning 12k mile 996 turbo MT sits where it is. A similar 993 would be 3-4 X likewise the gen 6 turbo 6 speed would be 2 X the bid. It can’t be just the headlamps. What a great car from a great dealer.

@Hugihard-J I took a close-up photo of those two scratches and submitted them to Pcarmarket to be added to the gallery.
@Hugihard-J Tried to reply before but comment disappeared.
You're right, in photo 37 there are two small scratches in the C-pillar right near the wiper. Not sure if the wiper caused that or not, but they are there. I did not notice them at first, then I did, then I forgot about them - good eye and thanks for pointing that out.
Hi
looks like rear wiper came down and scratch side of fender?

@PCarMartJM They are not actually flashing, it just has to do with LCD/LED displays vs the frame rate of the video - it makes it appear as if they are flashing.
Can you please let us know what is going on with the lights flashing at the bottom of two of the gauges in the video? Thx

@VINCEZIMMER We try not to beat on other people's cars, since ultimately this won't be ours for long. The new owner is welcome to run it to redline; our videos are there to show operation, not to rival Road & Track magazine.
The driving video is disappointing since he drove it too gently...didn't get to hear the engine when it was at higher RPM's....these cars are not Toyotas
Normally I would agree with @70gt500 on the interior but on this color I actually like it..not sure why. Gorgeous car…have to throw my hat in the ring :-)
