Now available for auction is this nicely equipped 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera presented in black over a black partial leather interior. Featuring the optional Design and Technic packages, this 2001 example carries a build sheet totaling over $76k. Highlighting a 6-speed manual transmission as well as a specially ordered Tequipment rear spoiler, this increasingly collectible 996 Carrera has been recently serviced and is now being offered for auction in excellent driving condition showing approximately 49k miles on the odometer.
The black finish on this 996 is stated to be in excellent factory condition with a few minor stone chips. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with recent paint meter readings. This 996 has has a specially ordered techequipment rear spoiler installed as well as 18” SportDesign wheels which are currently wrapped in Sumitomo tires.
Inside, the cabin is upholstered in black partial leather with power-operated front seats featuring adjustable lumbar support. The optional Technic Package adds amenities including headlight washers, Litronic (Xenon) headlamps, the Hi-Fi Sound System and an Onboard Computer. The factory specified Design Package also offers stainless steel door entry guards and aluminum-look instrument gauges as well as aluminum-look handbrake and gear shift levers. The interior is said to be in above average shape with all gauges, electronics and accessories remaining fully functional.
A naturally aspirated 3.4 L flat-six engine sends 296 HP to the rear wheels by way of a desirable 6-speed manual transmission. 0-60 is achieved in as little as 5.2 seconds while reaching top speeds north of 170 MPH. A recent service has been carried out within the last month and this Carrera is said to be in excellent running order.
