Paring a 6-speed manual transmission with its naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six, this 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera was ordered in Biarritz White over Savannah Beige leather. It has been customized with a GT2-style body kit, Venom rear spoiler, Koni lowering coilovers, custom wheels, an EVOMS intake, a Borla exhaust system, and several interior modifications including red suede and leather upholstery. Showing just over 42k miles on the odometer, this unique 996 is now being offered for auction at no reserve by its seller out of New York.

This 996 is finished in Biarritz White and features an aftermarket GT2-inspired body kit with aerodynamically optimized bumpers, rockers with additional air inlets, and a Venom rear spoiler with integrated direct air intakes. It rides on black aftermarket 19” wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires that are reportedly in like-new condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Inside, the Savannah Beige leather upholstery has been customized with two-tone red suede and leather inserts on the seats, door panels, and dashboard, complemented by a tan suede headliner and Porsche crest headrest embossments. An upgraded audio system has also been fitted, including subwoofers on the parcel shelf, midrange speakers and tweeters in the front and back, and dashboard tweeters. Other additions include an Alpine head unit and a K40 radar system. Optional equipment includes a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, Technic Package, Power Seat Package, a rear window wiper, and a Light Wood veneer gauge cluster.

Power is provided by a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine sending 296 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller states all required maintenance items have been performed, and a new alternator has been fitted. Performance upgrades include Koni coilovers, an EVOMS cold-air intake, and a Borla full exhaust system with 6-branch headers.

The seller would like you to know: “I bought this car as an everyday driver only to realize it was a complete show car. Completely custom everything. Turns heads at every stop light. Beautiful car. It was featured in a famous music video. Unable to disclose. It's sad to see it go as this car has been babied never abused. It is fast, well-kept, and can go to any show and win. It drives super smooth. It’s a true head-turner and showstopper.”

    Was the IMS Bearing replaced?
if yes do you have paperwork to support that ?

  • Barnster15 (seller) 5 months, 2 weeksago

@Racedog it is adjustable so can be used daily. Koni coilovers just adjust them to the desired height.

In emphasizing that this is a "show vehicle", does it mean that it is not suitable as a daily driver? To low and harsh for the street?

Ladies and gents let's remember this is a show vehicle. It's lowered and modified. Trust me when I say whoever purchases this vehicle will not be let down. I do not want to sell it but have to. Believe me the car does the talking. I understand pictures do not do the car justice but trust me when I say this is a very special porsche.

  • Barnster15 (seller) 5 months, 2 weeksago

@rwmacgurn car never saw snow or salt roads. It was definitely built with the kit on it. It's not a stock vehicle. Remember it was a show car and in a music video. I can 110% tell you the car never saw snow or salt roads.

@EastAtlantaSanta I am gathering all the paperwork. Thank you for enquiring. I can take more under body pics. However if you view the Pic already posted you can see the car was never out in rain or salt or grime. It has been garage kept it's entire life only driven during summers. I am going to contact porsche for paperwork tomorrow to see if the car is still on record. But I am gathering all paperwork for it. Thank you for asking the right questions.

  • EastAtlantaSanta (registered bidder) 5 months, 2 weeksago

@Nysammie I believe I do with the purchase of the vehicle. I would have to find it for you. Although my local porsche dealer who went over the car when I purchased it told me it did indeed have a new ims bearing. They did a 142 point check for me. I can not say enough good things about this car to be fair. I love it. It's so different and turns heads but is a complete pleasure to drive. Whoever does win this car will not be disappointed. I just wish I had more time and didn't have to sell. I would keep it forever.

  • Barnster15 (seller) 5 months, 2 weeksago

@doc8404 I do not have the stock intake as I purchased the vehicle built. Although I could help locate one to the winning bidder if they want one.

  • doc8404 (registered bidder) 5 months, 2 weeksago

Do you still have the stock OEM air in take ?

  • Nysammie 5 months, 2 weeksago

Thank you for responding. I just ment a video of your car coming and going with a bit of throttle will make the person feel like is in the car. Sould get you $30k-40k. Wishing you the best. You have a very special car and should attract the person that want's something special. I had to sell my 1998 Porsche C2S to donate the profits to my favorite organization Make A Wish of Southern Nevada. No regrets! All the best Jack.

  • Barnster15 (seller) 5 months, 2 weeksago

@jackk turn up the sound? As in revving it out? Or sound system. The sound system is so loud you can not sit in it when you turn it up. When I say loud I mean it pushes so much air it will blow the windows out. As far as revving it up I can do that also I just never ranked on my baby.
Thank you for your kind words. This is a super special car. It has around 140k in extras alone from a low mileage car. Well maintained. It kills me to sell it. It's a true show stopper.

  • jackk (registered bidder) 5 months, 2 weeksago

May I make a suggestion? Please put a video up that shows your car going and going from the outside. Turn up the volume Porsche's make a great sounf.

  • jackk (registered bidder) 5 months, 2 weeksago

Thank you so much for responding. I hope you get lots of money. This is a very special car and someone will be very happy to park it in their driveway or hopefuly the garage. Best regards, Jack

  • Barnster15 (seller) 5 months, 2 weeksago

@jackk hi there thank you for reaching out. Service records that I have are the receipts for the oil changes documented. Spark plugs documented. I also have the alternator receipt somewhere and the mileage I changed it at. But these are all personal notes I kept in a book specific to my car. I love this car and never let it go without any maintenance. I just replaced the drivers rear Tyre because I didn't like there was slight cracking on side wall. Which I was told was from not driving the car enough. The trouble with NY roads is they are terrible. Pot holes and salt and grime. I refused to drive the car in those conditions. I can give you the book with all the records and miles done at that are had wrote by me over the years of ownership. I can promise you this much the car was never abused and always garage kept. And I have my personal records on the car.

You are a master tech, correct? Will you provide your service records to the winning bidder? I only ask because there are no records for the 8 years you have owned this car.
I just sold my 1998 C2S and looking to replace the car I owned for 21 years.
I would appreciate your response. All the best! Jack

@faugrad thank you for your kind words. Honestly the pictures do the car no justice. I wasn't a fan when I was enquiring about purchasing but after seeing the car. Driving the car. And also over 100k+ in extras I fell in love with it. It's truly a great car and honestly I am sad to see it go. Thank you for your kind comments.

  • faugrad (registered bidder) 5 months, 3 weeksago

This 996 looks like something you would have seen a celebrity drive in back in the early 2000s and show it off on an episode of MTV Cribs. Not a fan of the interior colors but I can definitely appreciate the craftsmanship. Best of luck with the auction here!

@lennyturk no liens. IMS bearing was changed at the dealership when I purchased the car. I am a master technician so I service all my own cars. I have done all the maintenance on it. Plugs, oil, MAF sensor, air filter clean. I have been meticulous with this car, the alternator started having problems about 3 years ago so i installed a new OEM alterntor and replaced the belt also. Only outside on nice days otherwise garage kept. Zero rust. Thank you for asking. This car is literally my baby. Please feel free to ask any other questions.

  • lennyturk (registered bidder) 5 months, 3 weeksago

Nice looking car ! Do you know if the IMS bearing was changed ? Who serviced the car ? Do you have any service records bills ? Any liens on the car ? GLWS

  • MrDrProfEvil (registered bidder) 5 months, 3 weeksago

Photo 25, is that corrosion on the quarter, or just road grime? Thanks!

  • Barnster15 (seller) 5 months, 3 weeksago

@doc8404 thank you for asking. No not warped I moved them by accident during cleaning. They are straight.

  • doc8404 (registered bidder) 5 months, 3 weeksago

Can you state why the front slats by the trunk latch are not in line looks like they are warped .

  • Barnster15 (seller) 5 months, 3 weeksago

Has 20 inch rims. The sound system is custom. Was around 55k installed. There is many audio additions please feel free to ask or any additional pictures needed. This sound system is no joke.
Any questions concerning anything please ask away. I am sad to have to sell but life changes. This will make the buyer very very happy.
