We are pleased to present this 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe finished in Black Metallic over a Savanna Beige leather interior. Bearing the internal production code “762”, this 2001 example is designated as one of the original launch vehicles for the 996 generation Turbo. Featuring the coveted twin-turbocharged 3.6L Mezger engine, this low-mile 996 also came factory optioned with supple leather front and rear seats, the Digital Sound Package, and a 6-speed manual transmission. Having spent nearly its entire life in California, this 996 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Arizona while showing just over 19k miles on the odometer.
The Black Metallic finish accentuates the distinctive Turbo-specific bodywork including wide fenders, side air intakes, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. The seller notes some scrapes and fading on the lower front lip, a blemish on the driver door handle, and some road-going wear on the front bumper. Additional photos are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This 996 rides on factory 18” Turbo Twist wheels with colored Porsche center crests and Michelin Pilot Sport tires. If I'm not mistaken, the correct color name for this car is "Basalt Black". Its a very pretty color, when the sunlight hits it. I owned an N/A 996 in this same Basalt/Savannah combination , way back when...Very nice 996TT!

@RotesAuto With such low miles on the vehicle we don't have a lot of maintenance/service history, as this example has spent very little actual time on the road over the last 20 years. That being said, we do have a few notes that we can pass along to the readers.

Hey everyone, I've uploaded 30+ additional photos of the car. I tried my absolute best to focus in on any kind of damage at all. The front bumper does have some rock chips, the lower lip does have a scrape on the passenger side, and a pinch, or bend right at the front.
The hood, headlights, front fenders, doors, rear quarters, rear bumper are all really nice.
There's one very small scratch at the seam where the driver's door meets the front fender. I took a picture of that.
There's some damage to the exterior driver's door handle. We included a picture of that in our original upload, but I took an additional picture of it anyway.
There's a small scratch on the rear decklid, under the spoiler and above where the "Turbo" script is. I have also included a picture of that.
Although there are no scratches, dings or nicks in the following places, I included some additional "close-up" pictures of the rear bumper, rear spoiler, roof, both mirrors, both taillights the hood, both fenders, both mirrors and both quarter panels.
As I mentioned before, the windshield is super clear and does not have any rock chips or pitting. It also appears to be the original windshield. The back glass is also clear with no damage from the rear wiper or any other cosmetic issues. I also included pictures of those for review.
Lastly, I took a few additional interior pictures, including a couple where I was trying to highlight some of the damage to the "soft-touch" buttons and panels. We also included pictures of these areas in our original upload, but a few more couldn't hurt.

There are some rock chips on the front bumper. The hood and quarter panels are actually very nice. I'll try and get some additional pictures taken and submitted to this post at some point today.

Seller: the front bumper, side skirts and rear quarters look pretty peppered with rock chips. Are there any other areas with similar wear (hood, fenders, windshield, etc.)?

@viavaquero I just went and sat in it, I started it up and personally tested every feature myself just a few minutes ago. The radio and AC are working, all the dash and interior lights are working, both windows will go up and down, the door lock button works, all four CD compartments are working, the spoiler does extend and retract with the push button inside.
The only issue that I was able to see that was not 100% perfect is the mirror flap on the driver's side sun visor. It is attached via a plastic hinge with two pins inserted into the plastic frame. the plastic pin on the right side of the hinge is broken. The flap covering is still present, but when you go to open it, the right side is loose. The mirror flap on the passenger's side visor is 100% intact and operating as it should.
Every other feature and function seemed to operate as it would have the day it left the factory. Hopefully this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.
Does everything on this Turbo work as it should, as when it came from the factory? Does the rear wing go completely up and down as it should? Thank you.
