Now presented for auction is this low-mileage 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe automatic finished in the rare combination of Rainforest Green Metallic over a Brown Natural Leather Interior with the Dark Wood package. Offering considerable performance and modern refinement, the 996 Turbo occupies a sweet spot in the market, and this 2001 example is one of the most tastefully appointed Coupes available. The seldom-seen Rainforest Green Metallic finish is said to be in pristine overall condition. CARFAX shows minor damage in 2013 which is said to have resulted in the right rear quarter panel being refinished (detailed images and paint meter readings are provided in the photo gallery). The 911 Turbo distinguishes itself from the Carrera with wider bodywork, redesigned bumpers, and an extendable rear wing. Power comes from a GT1-derived twin-turbocharged 3.6 L Mezger flat-six engine capable of producing 415 HP. All four wheels are driven by way of an optional 5-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission which allows this Turbo to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4.2 seconds. This Turbo is said to have always been dealer maintained and kept up to date on all services including routine fluid, filter, and battery replacements. A preemptive 60k mile service is also said to have been performed by an authorized Porsche dealer at just over 3k miles to maintain excellent running order.
