Marking the inaugural year of the water-cooled Porsche 911 Turbo, this 2001 996 Coupe pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six. It comes finished in Slate Grey Metallic over black upholstery with the optional Carbon Interior Package. It has been modified with a GT2-style front bumper, a Strosek-style rear wing, Champion Motorsport RS98 wheels, Brembo “Big Brakes,” a Markski engine tune, a Remus exhaust system, and other tasteful appointments. Showing approximately 61k miles on the odometer, this 996 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Illinois.
The exterior comes finished in Slate Grey Metallic and has been fitted with a Precision Porsche GT2-style front bumper and a Precision Porsche Strosek-style rear wing. The seller adds that the front bumper was paint-matched, and the rear bumper was refinished to better match the bumperettes. A complete paint correction was performed, followed by an Adam’s Graphene ceramic coating. A set of acid green-finished Brembo brakes have been fitted beneath the aftermarket Champion Motorsport RS98 Forged Monolite wheels, which have been ceramic coated and wrapped in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. Minor signs of road wear are present on the front bumper, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is welcomed by black leather upholstery enhanced by the optional Carbon Interior Package, which adds decorative trim to the center console, door panels, side air vents, speaker covers, dashboard, handbrake lever, gear selector, and three-spoke steering wheel. The seller mentions that the factory gauge cluster was sent to Palo Alto Speedometer, where the faces were replaced with red-faced components, and documentation confirming mileage accuracy is included with the sale. There are minor signs of wear on the carbon trim, with the corner of the passenger carbon fiber vent cover slightly lifted. Additionally, the driver’s seat heating function is currently inoperable.
Derived from the 911 GT1 Le Mans race car, the 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine is factory-rated at 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The aftermarket Markski Tuning engine tune is said to provide an extra 80 HP and 100 lb.-ft of torque. Other modifications include a Remus exhaust system with 200-cell catalytic converters, aftermarket sway bars, Tarett Engineering drop links, and a Brembo “Big Brake” kit. Within the last 2k miles, a Sachs clutch and GT2 slave cylinder were installed, and the slave cylinder was replaced.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my online auction. You’re looking at one of the finest and tastefully modified 996 911 Turbos available. I've owned this vehicle for five years; it was a dream car of mine since childhood. I’ve decided it’s time to move on to a newer style 911 Turbo. During my ownership, I’ve put a little over 5,000 miles on it, primarily using the car for nights out with my wife, cars and coffee events, and local car shows. I’ve been diligent with maintenance and proactive about repairs, ensuring that everything is in excellent condition. Fisher Motorsports in Barrington, IL, has been the sole shop working on this car, and there’s nothing it needs in terms of repairs or maintenance. As an auto detailing enthusiast, I’d rate the paint a 9.9 out of 10, aside from the usual rock chips on the front bumper. The car has never had paint protection film applied. It features a MarSki Tuning tune, which I’ll include the handheld device for, allowing you to return to the factory tune or switch between the spring and fall settings. This tune adds an average of 80 HP and 100 lb.-ft of torque. The car has never been on a dyno, drag strip, or road course.
In the winter, I store the car on wheel cribs, keep it on a battery tender, and cover it with a custom car cover, which is included. Good luck to all bidders. While I’ll be sad to see this car go, I’m excited for what’s next. Thank you!”

@ProjectJunky the wing is the Strosek style from Precision Porsche. It bolts to the factory hydraulic rams. They still operate, raising up when you drive above 75mph and then retracting when you get below 40mph I believe. There will be the occasional “alert” on the dash that reads spoiler failure but the spoiler still is functioning.
Which rear spoiler is installed and have the rams needed service or conversion to E-rams?
@ProjectJunky you are welcome, good luck!!
@MezgerMike thank you for the info!
@ProjectJunky Coolant lines are not pinned.
Bid in the amount of $50,000
@ProjectJunky car sits on a set of H&R race springs. Terrett engineering front and rear sway bars with Tarrett engineering drop links. That is all for suspension. I do have front ECS Hubcentfic wheel spacers. Fronts are 5am and rears are 15mm. Wheel wells were professionally rolled by Fischer Motorsports to prevent tire rub.
Bid in the amount of $35,996
Have the coolant lines been pinned?

What exactly is the suspension setup?

@Emerald-45 receipts are attached from Fisher Motorsports. As for the ceramic coating and paint correction that was done by myself.
It looks like you have done a lot of after-market additions to your Turbo from reading your ad. Do you have receipts for all the work? Specifically the ceramic coating? Thanks for your responses.
@Jflax honestly I have never looked into it, I don’t drive the car in the winter so it was a function I never used.
Why is the driver's side heated seat inop?
@Emerald-45 the Strosek is just the style, it is just alittle bit bigger and has a different curve to it. The wing still operates like the factory, as the hydraulics still activate based on MPH of car. This is a 6spd manual car.
What is the "Strosek-style rear wing" is it fixed or what, not stock?
6-speed manual transmission, allowing for both manual and automatic gear changes. As mentioned in the ad. Manual and Automatic, what is this?
NIce ride it would look good next to my 997 Turbo.
@Autotrend The only OE parts I have are the radio and the rear wing. I have limited space and holding onto the other parts was difficult.
do you still have the removed oe parts? rims, bumper, wing?
Gorgeous car tastefully modified
