Powered by a 3.6-liter Mezger engine coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission, this 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over black full leather upholstery. It was sold new from Thoroughbred Motorcars, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee, and moved to Louisiana with its third owner in 2019 who carried out extensive high-end modifications. The twin-turbocharged flat-six has been upgraded with a Europipe Stage 2 exhaust, IPD plenum, GT2 RS intercoolers, hybrid K16 turbos, and a custom Cobb tune. Other modifications include Forgeline wheels, a Sachs performance clutch, a flat-bottom steering wheel, GT3 RS short shifter, and Bilstein PSS10 coilovers. Benefitting from a major recent service and welded coolant pipes, this Turbo shows approximately 32k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Orleans.
This Coupe comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a matching aftermarket front splitter and rocker panel extensions. Clear European-style side marker lenses have also been fitted along with removable window tint, full front-end paint protection film, and 18” Forgeline GW3 Performance Series wheels. The car rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires from 2018 and the seller describes the exterior to have been kept in excellent overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, black full leather upholstery is complemented by an optional painted rear center console, stainless steel door sill guards, and a matching Alcantara headliner. Customizations include a DCTMS T96-style steering wheel, Rennline aluminum pedal covers, painted instrument bezels, and a Bluetooth integration kit for the original CDR-220 radio.
Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine featuring upgraded K16 hybrid billet turbos from Ultimate Motorwerks as well as billet wastegates, a Europipe Stage 2 exhaust, 997.2 GT2 RS intercoolers, 964 RS motor mounts, 710 P diverter valves, 82mm IPD plenum and throttle body, Markski Tuning inlet piping, and a Cobb Accessport tune by Design Automotive Group. Supporting upgrades include a new water pump, 5 bar fuel pressure regulator, Walbro high-pressure fuel pump kit, and Sachs Performance Stage 2.5 clutch. All four wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Other upgrades include 997 top hats, a 997 GT3 RS short shifter, Endless MX72 ceramic brake pads, and Bilstein PSS10 coilovers. The coolant pipes have been welded and the seller reports a major service was recently completed. Detailed maintenance records are said to be available including invoices for all aftermarket parts.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, and a clean title.

Just over 24 hours left for the auction, don’t miss out!!
It Cold have been better if we had a video where the car was actually getting driven as it can be. This is a modified car so I believe it is in the sellers best interest to show what the car can do. I have a triple black 03 but I’m fixing to start modifying it. Seller you may want to consider a trade. The guy that I bought my car from here had it for 14 years.
@luis.seneriz not one bit, no! She takes the power effortlessly.
Love the Car. Mods are great . Any issues with the tranny popping out of gear, specially 2nd. 2003 and latter dont have the issue.
@KvN thanks for the kind words!
@PointElysian stock ECU map has been downloaded and stored to the corresponding COBB accessport. Bolt-on’s are easily reversible depending on consumer preference, as well as the adjustment of the coil overs for ride height… but it’s tough to drive this beast and be critical!
Beauty & very well presented.

@Nolasport Any idea as to issues with removing performance tune and returning back to stock spec?
Bid in the amount of $45,000
Thanks for the quick responses and quality info @Nolasport .
@matpatte You had a valid question! No need to get in horsepower wars here however... we reached out to the tuner directly for a better answer. Owner of By Design Automotive Group, Sam Ahdoot, can be quoted in an email thread which can be found in the gallery below. Sam quotes 650HP at the Crank conservatively based on his tune as well as the bolt-on's supplied. No one will ever know the true number until the car sees a Dyno but for now Sam is the best source we have, and also happens to be a staple in the 911 turbo tuning world!
@Bryon Front splitter by Joe Toth Composites and the rockers appear to be from Xtreme Motorcars in CA. The original OEM rockers are underneath the aftermarket ones, correct, they look like they would come off very easily. Appears as if they use the factory brackets/screws in the front and rear for install, hope this helps...
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
@Bryon the wing does function as it should manually and automatically (at speed). Please see photos of the rear spoiler in the up and down position in the gallery as well.
Does the wing function as it should?
Who makes those rocker panels and front splitter? Also, are the rocker panels easily removable? If so, is the original rocker panel still in place under this aftermarket piece, or available with the sale?
@matpatte sure, we can only guess!
@Nolasport Gotcha, probably around 530-550hp then. 600hp requires 630 injectors.
@matpatte Stock injectors and running 1.2 Bar.
@Nolasport Does the car have larger injectors? How many bar is it making on the hybrid turbos?
that’s what i figured, it doesn’t really matter to have a specific number.
@mcwop23 thanks for the bid. If I had to guess based on the seat of my pants as well as comparing similar equipped cars dyno charts it more than likely makes a bit north of 600 at the crank. She’s all there, but again the car has never seen a dyno… hope this helps.
Bid in the amount of $44,444
any idea on the power being put down?
