  • sportscarguy3 (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

collectorcars, a LOT more than this and this is where I wanted to be , plus or minus,
however, I got caught up in a auction scenario !
The Markski tune is not a problem, imho, Mark assisted getting the original tune back as the seller included the tune box
I also installed the Factory exhaust and recently swapped out 2 of 4 CO 2 Sensors, hoping for a computer reset today, thru the weekend...
I know better than to buy an engine modified Porsche !
Hopefully it will all work out
Back to this nice 996, stock TT !
Hope a sale comes together, a blast to drive I have found ( illegally at the time : ( )

    Always prefer Black Porsches
    Good looker here....
Interested in where this goes as I am still dealing with problems passing smog etc with the 2003 996 TT I recently purchased ! ( and overpaid for imho )
Mine has / had aftermarket, straight pipe exhaust and a nice Markski Tune which I am dealing with, along with the check engine light, to correct , smog and register here in Sonoma Ca.
This one, being " stock " should have no issues at all
    Good Luck All

@luis.seneriz Markets flying up on these market value is high 60’s all days pushing 70K! so place your highest and best and try your luck my friend! There was a 85k mile example that just sold for $60k on another auction site! So we all know what these are going in todays market if you’ve owned one of these you know this is the time to hang onto them! This will be a tough one to part ways with since I spent over a year looking for a mint condition black/black 996 turbo optioned and spec’d with Porsche crested headrests, carbon fiber weighted shift knob and all the other bells and whistles this one has!

@luis.seneriz tires are like new have plenty of tread brakes feel great. 996 turbo brakes usually feel a bit soft but this cars pedal feel is on point! If you watch the driving video you’ll see it stops on a dime! Most of our clients have their vehicles shipped we are shipping brokers and can assist with providing a quote for transport. This is a 996 turbo at the end of the day the mezger motor is the most bullet proof motor imo Porsche ever built there isn’t much that can go wrong on this power plant! You’ve got jalopnik articles of guys driving over 500k+ on this motor! I personally put 900 miles on this car since it came in to us a couple months back the 996 turbo was always a child hood favorite car and since I live downtown commuting from the city to the burbs I was able to really open this car up! We still have a way to go with the bids to get her sold but if you’re serious about owning a 996 turbo I’d say this is the one, I’ve had 25 turbos in my lifetime and can say hands down this is a well sorted example! All the best of luck in the final hours of the auction!

@collectorcars. I can’t get to a computer right now and my old iPhone can see the receipt for the service records clearly. Anyway can you please comment on the condition of the brakes and tires, how much thread pad is left? I plan to fly and drive if I get it, any reasons why this car can’t make it to Houston? Can I assume I’ll be flying to ohaire. Thanks

@stupendous coolant lines have not been pinned. Rear wing is fully functional with oem actuators. Rest assure, this car does not have a second gear pop out issue. I’ve owned one in that past with that issue and it was a nuisance. If you’re looking for a clean well sorted example I’d say you’ve found the right car!

  • stupendous (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago
