Presented in Arctic Silver Metallic over Graphite Grey full leather, this 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe features a 6-speed manual transmission connecting the driver to a twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine. Originally sold in New York at a sticker price of over $116k, this launch-year 996 Turbo has resided in California since 2011 under the care of multiple Porsche collectors and is now being offered for auction with approximately 41k miles showing on the odometer.
This Turbo comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and factory-specified without front bumperettes. The wide bodywork includes distinctive side air intakes and a rear spoiler with an extendable wing. Red-painted brake calipers can be seen behind factory 18” Turbo wheels with model logo center caps and Michelin Pilot Sport N3 tires. One small dent is noted on the hood, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in Graphite Grey full leather upholstery with a matching Alcantara headliner and power-operated seats with driver position memory and optional adjustable lumbar support. An upgraded Porsche Classic head unit has been installed and the seller reports some failed pixels on the LCD odometer screen.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six Mezger engine produces as much as 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque, driving all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Accompanying service records include an invoice for a major 30k-mile service in 2012 as well as a service from Porsche Monterey in November of 2021 with new air filters, ride height adjustment, wheel alignment, replacement of the front spoiler, and reinstallation of its factory exhaust system. A broken stabilizer bar link was also replaced in February of 2022 in addition to another wheel alignment and parking brake adjustment.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals, service records, and a clean title.

@vengerider Great questions!
We have records showing a replaced faulty clutch accumulator in 2015, but no clutch kit.
According to the seller, he has no knowledge of the hydraulic rams for the rear spoiler being replaced. They have worked flawlessly since being here, going up and down a dozen times under our watch.
Hope this helps!
@mohrimports I understand all is working fine which is great. Is the car running the original clutch and hydraulic rams for the rear spoiler or where they replaced at any point? How old are the tires? Any issues with the windows sealing when closed?

As we reach the final day of this auction, we felt it was important to highlight some of the attributes of this car.
First of all, this car comes from a great Monterey Porsche collector, who has owned many fantastic cars over the years – all of which leave his garage better than they arrived. You’ll see the RGroupe sticker on the drivers side rear quarter glass, and he has been a member for over 20 years.
Second is the overall cosmetic condition of this car, which is a huge plus. All original paint, interior and exterior bits are highlighted in the gallery. The car did have a German exhaust system installed and lowered at one point, but all back to stock now and has passed the California SMOG test.
The rear spoiler works perfectly, all the exterior lights operate as they should, radio plays clearly and they car shifts/brakes/steers like new.
We are here to help and answer any further questions you might have in the end.
Thanks!
