Introduced for the 2001 model year was the fifth-generation 911 Turbo, which debuted as the fastest street-legal 911 of its time. Beneath its refined lines lies a twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission driving all four wheels. Finished in Seal Grey Metallic over Graphite Grey full leather upholstery, this example initially sold at a sticker price of over $116k and has remained a lifelong Texas car. Meticulously maintained, it is now being offered for auction showing approximately 32k miles on the odometer.

This Turbo comes finished in Seal Grey Metallic and is factory-specified without front bumperettes or a rear model designation. The Turbo can be distinguished by its wide fenders with distinctive side air intakes as well as a speed-activated rear spoiler wing. Red-painted brake calipers can be seen behind factory 18” Turbo wheels with colored Porsche-crested center caps. It rides on Michelin Pilot Sport tires with 2014 date codes and at least 60% tread remaining all around. The seller adds that this example has recently been professionally detailed and polished. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The interior features Graphite Grey full leather upholstery, supple leather seats, and a matching Alcantara headliner. Optional appointments include a 3-spoke steering wheel in leather, aluminum instrument dials, an aluminum and leather shifter and brake handle, an exterior-color painted rear center console, and metal door sill model insignias.

This 996 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine that produces up to 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, which propels the car from 0-60 MPH in approximately four seconds. The seller states that this vehicle has been routinely serviced by a local Porsche specialist under previous ownership.

This sale will include a clean title.

Well, that means it didn't meet reserve and they're on the phone with the seller and PeterRand9 trying to strike a deal. One thing I do like about this site over some others. They really try to get a knew owner in the cars.

If you are not registering the car in the state of Texas you don’t pay state taxes here (6.25 percent). The dealer will give you a bill of sale that you will take to your state DMV and then you pay taxes and registration there. Normally for an out of state buyer the dealer will give you a temporary plate, because of the pandemic some state dealerships are issuing temp plates that go as long as 90 days.

@Decatur15 It appears your out of state, I can do it either way for you.

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 1 year, 10 monthsago

To correct my last comment the dealer bought the car from the 10 year owner. You are buying from a dealer.

  • Decatur15 (registered bidder) 1 year, 10 monthsago

    Hello
Will the title be from the dealer or the owner. If from dealer I would have to pay state tax.
    Thank you

One last comment about this car. The seller is selling the car for the owner of the last ten years. That’s my kind of car, the one I bought in April the owner had it for 14 years. Good luck.

    @luis.seneriz ThankYou for info...

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 1 year, 10 monthsago

Im at the dealer now. The car is in great shape. My comments if you are going to take it supersonic replace the tires they are from 2014 , they are in great shape I would be concerned about age. Only one panel had higher paint readings. Paint looks amazing you may want to do ceramic coating or graphene. Car doesn’t has any ppf. Engine sounds healthy good oil pressure. Brake rotors are good. You are going to have to replace the frunk struts, cheap at Fcp euro. Spark plugs where replaced in 2013, with the coils I would replace plugs and the fuel filter. Stock Car otherwise. Clean example no rust. I would tackle the leather interior with leatherique. Nice seller, awesome dealer a few multimillion dollar cars in here. If you are going to collect it or drive it you are not going to be disappointed on this car.

Good morning Pcarmarket community. Last day for this beautiful 01 Turbo. I ordered a new front lip from porsche last week, the lower black piece and snapped it on this AM. there were some minor curb rash scuffs in the original one. I will send a video shortly. I thought as nice as the car is it should be replaced for the next owner.

Hey guys, I’m close to this car. I’m not a mechanic but a retired lubrication engineer. If anyone wants me to look at this car in person let me know. I own two porsches both 996s. An early 99 coupe and a 03 turbo coupe both 6 speeds. I’m pretty active in the porsche club. These turbos are special, after having driven mine more than 4k miles all I can tell you is test driving one is not the same as owning one. Let me know. One thing for sure, pictures will never be as good as someone looking a the car in person, I don’t have a clue who the seller is. I’m just a car guy that had a porsche poster in his room growing up and now I’m blessed that I’m living the porsche life and I own to of them by the way I’m really luis and I bought my turbo here back in April, so go ahead and look my education qualifications in link end. Jus willing to help future porsche owners.

Hi, do you happen to know if there are any aftermarket items added to the car/engine from the records?

  • 38ZFX (registered bidder) 1 year, 10 monthsago

@VikingH yes, that would be great maybe in a different light or a different angle. Thanks.

@rbrunson Good morning, I am taking to get a DME report shortly and will be posting pics of the undercarriage as well

  • rbrunson (registered bidder) 1 year, 10 monthsago

Please get a DME report and post. Please also take some underside pictures showing exhaust and other possible corrosion points like door sills.
The foam is not a big issue and can be cleaned out. I have a 2003 C4S with the same issue.

@Hugihard-J good morning. I do have some maintenance records, although the last owner only drove it like 3000 miles in 11-12 years. I looked at the a/c vents and there were some insulation pieces, I ran the ac for a few minutes and they cleared out. yes, I have sen this before on 996's

  • Hugihard-J (registered bidder) 1 year, 10 monthsago

    Hi
    Do you have maintenance records
Looks like insulation foam blowing out of side vents? I think it's common
    996 models

  • VikingH (seller) 1 year, 10 monthsago

@Ripstick19 I don't believe they have. it was a sparingly used example thus the low miles and there is no evidence of track use or extreme driving which seems to be a reason for people having that done.
