Paring a 6-speed manual transmission with its naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six, this 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera was ordered in Biarritz White over Savannah Beige leather. It has been customized with a GT2-style body kit, Venom rear spoiler, Koni lowering coilovers, custom wheels, an EVOMS intake, a Borla exhaust system, and several interior modifications including red suede and leather upholstery. Showing just over 42k miles on the odometer, this unique 996 is now being offered for auction out of New York on PCARMARKET once again as the initial buyer failed to complete the transaction.

This 996 is finished in Biarritz White and features an aftermarket GT2-inspired body kit with aerodynamically optimized bumpers, rockers with additional air inlets, and a Venom rear spoiler with integrated direct air intakes. It rides on black aftermarket 19” wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires that are reportedly in like-new condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Inside, the Savannah Beige leather upholstery has been customized with two-tone red suede and leather inserts on the seats, door panels, and dashboard, complemented by a tan suede headliner and Porsche crest headrest embossments. An upgraded audio system has also been fitted, including subwoofers on the parcel shelf, midrange speakers and tweeters in the front and back, and dashboard tweeters. Other additions include an Alpine head unit and a K40 radar system. Optional equipment includes a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, Technic Package, Power Seat Package, a rear window wiper, and a Light Wood veneer gauge cluster.

Power is provided by a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine sending 296 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller states all required maintenance items have been performed, and a new alternator has been fitted. Performance upgrades include Koni coilovers, an EVOMS cold-air intake, and a Borla full exhaust system with 6-branch headers.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “I bought this car as an everyday driver only to realize it was a complete show car. Completely custom everything. Turns heads at every stop light. Beautiful car. It was featured in a famous music video. Unable to disclose. It's sad to see it go as this car has been babied never abused. It is fast, well-kept, and can go to any show and win. It drives super smooth. It’s a true head-turner and showstopper.”

@lennyturk Thank you. I paid a lot of money for this car so the buyer is getting a complete steal at this price. I am sad to see it go.

@GT4Driver Sorry I got distracted with a phone call and did not see it .Now I see the carfax is clean so it was a good bye for the buyer but not so bad for the seller either cos he sold it for less last time .Congrats on both parties

"insane amount of work" sums it up -it may be too far removed from a "normal" external appearance, hence low bids.JMO

@trium4ant @lennyturk If you click on the sellers name and review the previous listing you can see the carfax. Also agree with @barnster15 this is insanely low for a Porsche, especially considering its a 911 and the amount of work done to it. Bid with confidence :)

@Trium4Ant It's the purchase agreement when I bought the car. I have it but I am currently at work. The carfax was posted last time so unsure why it is not on this auction. It was sold before but the last purchaser had someone reneg on his car so he couldn't come up with the funds. Honestly where this price is sitting right now is insanely low for any porsche. Let alone the amount that was spent building this. But I can tell you 100% no accidents and clean title.

  • Trium4Ant (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@Barnster15 - please post a carfax and the paperwork for the IMS replacement

@Racedog it was checked but they said it looks brand new. So they never changed it. I gave them authority to do it and would cover it but they said the clutch is in perfect condition. And as you can see I hardly drove it.

  • Racedog (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Was te clutch done at the same time as the IMS replacement?

@996hopeful jJust posted a Pic with the back seat down. As you can see it's a custom box. It's double stitched and the two colour's of leather to match the car. You can also see the rear speakers with custom made pods to fit them. Happy bidding. Sorry for the slight delay.

  • Barnster15 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@Racedog this year did need it done and when I purchased the cat the dealer replaced it before I took delivery. Thank you for enquiring.

  • Racedog (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Did this year need the IMS bearing replacement? If so, was it done?

  • Barnster15 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@996hopeful I had to work late today will post pics in the am. Sorry for the delay.

  • Barnster15 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@996hopeful going to post pics later today. The carbon fiber has been on there since I bought it. It's glued to it. Looked behind and it's just the bumper. I guess they were going for a particular look. It never bothered me. Then again it was in a music video so not sure if it symbolized something.

  • 996hopeful (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Have you had a chance to get photos of the back seat folded down? and what's the story behind the carbon fiber tape on the bottom of the rear bumper? Thanks!

Just uploaded more of the underneath of the car showing no rust or salt damage from NY roads. Also a front end picture with the k40 system sensors mounted behind and in front of the bumper. Wll take pics of the suede Amp cover off. It's a little bit of a project but just showing you guys this was never out in the rain or snow or salt. If you look at the milage difference from when I bought it to now is barely much driving done. It's a true masterpiece. Again whoever wins is getting truly a one off car. Trust me when I say one off.

@Nysammie yes passes inspection no issues. All maintenance done by me as I am a master tech. Car needs nothing. Just an owner. I have a log that goes with the car that every 3k or 4 months I changed the oil and I documented dates. But no issue passing inspection here in NY.

Does the car need anything maintenance wise or any issues?

  • Barnster15 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@GT4Driver I do not have the original j bought the car already built. It is not catless. I will snap a Pic of the underneath today. It's truly a masterpiece. How they built this car is crazy. I bought the finished product and it was extremely expensive when I did.

  • GT4Driver (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Is this a cat less exhaust setup? If so do you have the original still?

@996hopeful yes they are built on steel platform. The suede cover comes off when you take the rubber gasket off for the hood.
The rears are in a box. That's leather matched to the car interior. It is a ported box and can be removed.
I will drop the seats tomorrow and post a picture. By far the best wiring and cleanest I have seen from most sound system builders. The cross over integrated in the center console is a nice touch and the mixer in the front under the hood was replaced about 3 years ago. It cost me a fortune as it had to be custom made to fit that space. I'll post some pics tomorrow to show everyone interested. If you do not open a wondow and turn it to level 9 or 10 you will blow the windows out as it pushes so much air. The sound clarity is impeccable.

Hey, do you know what it looks like under the Amps in the front compartment? have you ever had them out since owning it? Am wondering if it is just a structure built over the frunk. Same with the rear speakers. are they built as a box that ca be removed are integrated into the shelf. Maybe a pic with the rear seats folded down so we can see how they sit in there? Thanks!

  • Barnster15 (seller) 11 months, 4 weeksago

@GT4Driver hi there it was a steal the last time but unfortunately life sometimes has other plans. With that said I am resisting so everybody gets a second shot. I didn't post any dme reports but can run a system scan on it for you. Show there is no fault codes. The car was hardly driven and when it was never hard. It was honestly just a show piece for the previous owners. 60k in sounds. 60k in the interior. And a ton of mods done. There was over 150 to 175ks worth of work done without buying it. I bought it as an everyday driver and if the suspension was slightly lifted which you can do it can be. When I drove the car everywhere I went people took pictures. I will miss this car and really don't want to sell but unfortunately have to. Happy bidding.

  • GT4Driver (registered bidder) 11 months, 4 weeksago

Wow! What a steal this was the last time. Mods look nice imo. Were there dme/bore reports available I don’t recall?

  • Barnster15 (seller) 1 yearago

Previous winner unfortunately had some personal issues. So reposted another chance to get my baby. She is waiting for the right home. Good luck bidding
