Marking the last year of the original 996 design and its 3.4-liter engine, this 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe comes finished in Polar Silver Metallic over Metropol Blue leather upholstery. It pairs a desirable 6-speed manual transmission with its naturally aspirated flat-six and has been fortified with replacements of the IMS bearing, rear main seal, clutch, air oil separator, and more. This Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with just over 77k miles on the odometer.
This 996 comes finished in Polar Silver Metallic and has been fitted with clear OEM side markers and a set of 18” 981 Cayman wheels dressed in new Firehawk Indy500 tires. Details include a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and an electrical sunroof. The seller notes the hood and front bumper have been refinished and blended into the front fenders. Some areas of clear coat failure are noted on the mirrors and near the front plate mount, along with some signs of road wear on the front bumper and a small ding on the passenger fender & hood. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor damage to the right front end in June 2016.
The cabin presents Metropol Blue leather upholstery with matching floor carpets. Equipment includes power-operated front seats, windows, and door locks as well as Carrera-logo door sills and an upgraded VDO Continental TR7412UB-OR radio. The seller states the driver’s side window regulator has been replaced and notes minor wear on the driver’s seat left bolster as well as slight signs of age on the floor mats. All gauges and electronics are reported to be working properly.
Power is derived from a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six, sending as much as 296 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is achieved in approximately 5 seconds while reaching top speeds north of 170 MPH. The seller adds that the IMS bearing, rear main seal, clutch, and air oil separator have been serviced and an oil change was carried out within the last 700 miles. Additionally, the CARFAX report shows a total of 21 maintenance records.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, and a toolkit.
The seller would like you to know: “When I purchased this 911, I spared no expense on maintenance with the full intention of keeping this car for years. Unfortunately, life changes. While I would not call this a garage queen, it is an excellent driver's car. There is great service history documented on Carfax and I addressed all the expensive items that could be potential red flags. It is a great candidate to be a daily driver, further restored to factory glory, or used as a platform for a full build. I have full confidence in taking this Carrera on a cross-country road trip as it sits today.”

Good morning all, just under 8 hours to go. I appreciate the questions and photo requests that have come through. I enjoyed putting all of the information together regarding this 911. My phone will be locked on this page all day for a fast response. Good luck to all current and future bidders.
Can I see the car tomorrow?

Polar Silver is definitely not seen too often. The photos don't fully capture how much blue you see in the paint under full sun. In the shade or clouds, you would think it is Arctic Silver but sunlight really brings out the nice light blue of Polar.
The Metropol Blue interior is a very dark muted blue that is not over the top or tacky. Before the purchase, I almost didn't go see the car because I didn't think I would like it. There are quite a few black pieces mixed into as well so the its tame but a great place to sit and enjoy the drive.
I’ve been waiting a long time to see one of these pop up in that color combo! Beautiful car!

To explain the declined service for an oil leak, when I brought the car in I asked for an oil change, full inspection and to make sure there were no oil leaks. I never had a PPI done since I purchased from a Porsche sales rep, but I still wanted to have the car gone over top to bottom. There are no oil leaks and the pictures underneath the vehicle shows it's true condition as clean and dry.
The only areas of concern in regards to clear coat are the mirror caps and the front bumper.
I have added photos of the following items:
-driver and passenger mirror to highlight clear coat failure
-front bumper to highlight imperfections caused by front plate mount
-all service records for maintenance as well as receipts for all parts purchased

Thank you for viewing my 2001 Carrera! My goal was to be very open and honest with this car. The ad perfectly highlights the positives, but gives an upfront look at the flaws as well. I am more than happy to answer any questions about this 911. Additional photos or videos can be provided on request.
