Up for auction is this 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe finished in Black over a black interior. Sold new in Florida at an original sticker price of over $84k, this 6-speed Carrera came generously optioned with 18” Turbo-Look wheels, leather Sport Seats, the Design Package, and Aerokit Package. It had been fitted with an upgraded LN Engineering IMS bearing and short shifter under previous ownership in 2021 and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Maryland with approximately 52k miles showing on the odometer.
This 996 comes finished in Black and features the optional Aerokit Package (P08) which equips a GT3-style front fascia, side skirts, a rear wing, and side fins on the rear bumper. The optional 18” Turbo-Look wheels come fitted with colored Porsche center crests and Michelin tires from 2019. Some rock chips and minor scratches are present, and the seller notes an area of bare metal exposed on the door sill. The previous owner stated both the front and rear bumpers were replaced following some minor cosmetic damage, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black interior includes a pair of leather Sport Seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, and the Design Package (P42) which adds an Arctic Silver-painted center console, an aluminum handbrake lever inlay, and stainless-steel door sills with model logos. Other features include automatic climate control, cruise control, an electric sunroof, power windows, electric outside mirrors, and an original CDR-220 radio. The seller reports the power mirrors and cruise control function was repaired under the current ownership and notes the ashtray door does not close properly once opened. A tear is also noted on the driver’s seat as well as some distortion of the digital tachometer screen.
The 3.4L flat-six engine produces up to 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque and drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. An upgraded LN Engineering dual-roller IMS bearing kit was installed under prior ownership in 2021 along with a short-shift kit for quicker gear changes. Additional maintenance history is provided on the CARFAX report.
This sale will include a clean title. A sporty 6-speed Coupe with factory GT3-inspired styling, this 2001 Carrera Aerokit awaits its next owner.

@Flat6paradise I bought this car to make it my daily driver. However I own a Lotus Elise, Porsche 924 S, and Mercedes c300. Out of those cars the 911 is the last to get driven. I do not want to drive the 911 when the roads have salt on them so I choose the Mercedes, I prefer the Lotus when the weather is nice because the top is removable, and the 924 is bit more practical, even though it is extremely under powered I love to drive it. As you could imagine buying this car and not driving it did not go over well with the wife. It is a fun car and needs someone that is going to enjoy it.
Beautiful 996! Not perfect, but looks like a great drivers car. Why are you selling her after such a short ownership period?

@Blubusdrvr Thank you very much for the kind words! It was really nice meeting you today! For any future bidders or for those just interested in knowing more about the car please feel free to ask questions.
Attn PCar Community: I personally went to look at (and drive) this Carrera today. I would love to selfishly tell you it's a crap-can so I can bid on it by myself but it is not. It is a well sorted, great driving, example. Is it perfect? Of course not. There are a few minor flaws but I can tell you that the seller (and his mechanic) are excellent people and are being incredibly transparent about the condition and history of the car. Bid with confidence. Unfortunately I feel this one will go for more than my wallet (and my wife) will allow. Someone is going to get a GREAT car and I'm already jealous. Prosit!
@Blubusdrvr I have the receipt for the IMS Bearing. It was completed on 5/25/21 by KMW Motorsports in Florida. Along with the IMS Bearing they installed a new rear main seal, oil air separator, and a Sachs clutch kit. KMW also installed the short shifter.
@Kyledf124 Thanks for clarification. (I'm shocked the Car Fox didn't get that info) Any info about the IMS? (I see it was an LNE. Any sticker, serial #, paperwork, mileage etc?)
The video's were great. Triadelphia Rd baby! I grew up there and could drive that road blindfolded! Any chance of coming to see the car in person?
@Blubusdrvr According to the previous owner the car was parked at a shop and they parked behind a Lamborghini Urus. One of the workers was in an older Ferrari and tried to park the Ferrari behind the 911, Due to the Ferrari having bad brakes they hit the back of the 911 which resulted in it rolling into the back of the Urus. I am going to assume the height of the Urus resulted in the hood getting dented. When the previous owner had the work done they made sure it was done right. Everything looks new and works like new. If I find out any more information I will make sure to post a comment!
So, I'm just going to ask: Was this car in an accident?? I know CarFax isn't perfect but how did a 10,000 insurance job not result in at least "minor damage" during owner 7's ownership? Did the previous owner tell you anything about this? It doesn't sound like just cosmetic damage. The hood and rear tail panel were replaced as well. ???
Hello everyone, Thank you for viewing my listing! I am going to upload video links of the car here. If you have any questions I will be checking in to answer!
