Finished in Lapis Blue Metallic over a Graphite Grey interior, this 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine. It was further configured with the Advanced Technic, Comfort Package, and Heated Front Seats Packages, along with Porsche-crested headrests, a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, and more. Showing approximately 43k miles on the odometer, this 996 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
The exterior is finished in Lapis Blue Metallic (L3A8) with a Graphite Grey convertible soft top. The Advanced Technic Package adds xenon headlights and headlight washers, while standard equipment includes fog lights and dual exhaust outlets. A fixed rear spoiler, rear bumper extensions, and a set of polished 18” Carrera wheels have also been fitted. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with Graphite Grey partial leather upholstery and color-coordinated floor mats. Options include a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, Porsche-crested headrests, the Heated Front Seats Package, and the Comfort Package which includes power-adjustable front seats and a driver’s side memory function.
A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter M96 flat-six engine generates a factory-rated 300 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 60 MPH can be reached in approximately 5 seconds, while stopping power is provided by fixed 4-piston brakes and cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller states new spark plugs and coils have been fitted, and an oil and filter change has been performed.
This sale will include a clean title.

Great question! I am perplexed as well. Maybe just because there are still a few days left?? This color is a beautiful, unusual color.
One of my favorite colors and interiors.
What am I missing with this ridiculous bid?
@Foxpilot Nothing that I know of, but you are correct...oil, filters, plugs, coils, tires, newly rebuilt hydraulic arms for the convertible top.
Aside from plugs and coils has any other consumables been updated like engine or trans mounts? Or suspension refresh?
@Speedworks it has not, but that is an internet, overblown issue. There is between a 1% and 8% chance of a bad IMS. I have had many 986, 996s from 1999 to 2004 and none have ever had an issue
Has the IMS bearing been addressed/
This is an amazing Porsche, I have too many cars or I would bid for this, look at the paint, looks like new.
