Available for auction is this 2001 Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06 finished in Torch Red over a two-tone black and Torch Red interior. The C5-generation Corvette Z06 uses a tuned version of the standard LS1 engine known as the LS6, along with uprated suspension, larger wheels and tires, revised gearing ratios, and functional brake cooling ducts. This low-mileage 2001 example has seen sparing use and features a number of upgrades including long tube headers, a Corsa exhaust system, chrome trim, 19” Varro wheels, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York while showing just under 8k miles on the odometer.
This Z06 comes finished in Torch Red and has been upgraded with a rear decklid spoiler, stainless steel chrome screens over the body ducting, color-matched mudflaps, and a Z06 accessory plate between the exhaust outlets. Features include pop-up headlights, Z06 fender badges, quad exhaust outlets, and a rigid fixed roof design seldom seen on C5 models. The exterior is said to have undergone paint correction prior to the application of four layers of ceramic coating. Additionally, paint protection film covers the front end, side mirrors, rocker panels, rear quarters, and door jams. It rides on a set of 19” Varro brushed aluminum wheels, dressed in Falken FR510 tires from 2021. The CARFAX report indicates minor damage to have occurred in October of 2021.
Inside, you will find a cabin trimmed in black leather with Z06 headrest embroidery. The cabin has been customized with a color-matched center console with a Z06 embroidered lid, a carbon fiber steering wheel with red leather accents, and a noise-reducing rear hatch partition. The sound system has been upgraded with Bose self-amplified speakers, and a touch screen Kenwood head unit with SiriusXM, Bluetooth, navigation, and a backup camera. The seller confirms that all gauges, accessories, and electronics remain functional.
Power comes from a 5.7L LS6 V8 which sends as much as 385 HP to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Compared with a standard C5 Corvette, the Z06 features uprated FE4 suspension, revised gearing ratios, functional brake cooling ducts, and is 128 lbs lighter due to weight-saving measures such as thinner glass, reduced soundproofing, and a lighter battery. This example has been upgraded with American Racing long tube headers, a Corsa Sport exhaust system, and a Vara-Ram cold air intake with an electronic intake motor. The seller reports that the vehicle has always been regularly serviced including new sparks, ignition wires, and air filters at the time of their purchase along with a complete fluid flush.
This sale will include a clean title.

As a past owner of a 2001 Z06, I can say that the partially red steering wheel and console and console cover are distracting to me. This is not OEM. But the overall car is great and low mileage, so new owners can correct this. The C5Z06 is a great car.. but definitely not track ready.
As the current owner of this Z06 I want to let you know that there is not any question worth asking. I will answer all and every question.
