Advertised as the fastest four-door production sedan at the time of its debut in 1999, the BMW E39 M5 features a naturally aspirated 4.9-liter S62 V8 engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The M5 features more aggressive styling than a standard E39 5-Series sedan, including unique bumpers, side skirts, aerodynamic M mirrors, a trunk lid spoiler, and quad exhaust outlets. This example is finished in Carbon Black Metallic with gloss black Shadowline trim. Equipment includes xenon headlights, headlamp washers, integrated fog lights, rain-sensing wipers, M5 body molding badges, an electric sunroof, silver StopTech front brake calipers, and silver 18” Style 65 wheels. The seller notes the hood was replaced with an OE part under previous ownership, some scratches are present on the front bumper, and the rubber windshield trim is dry-rotted. The CARFAX report shows minor damage to the rear and left-rear side in 2016.
The cabin showcases Imola Red and Black extended leather upholstery, Anthracite Alcantara headliner, and burl wood trim. Accessories include heated and power-adjustable front seats with lumbar support and driver memory, a three-spoke multifunction M sport leather steering wheel, M-specific gauges, M5-branded door sills, an M wood gear knob, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, remote keyless entry, an onboard computer, a navigation system, and a 6-disc CD changer. The seller indicates a hardwired connection has been installed for a radar detector near the driver’s sun visor.
Factory-rated at 394 HP and 369 lb-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 4.9-liter S62 V8 engine features double-VANOS variable valve timing and individual throttle bodies. It drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed Getrag manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Performance features include M Driving Dynamics Control, M Servotronic power steering, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and an M-tuned sport suspension. The mufflers have been removed, and the front brakes are upgraded with StopTech calipers and slotted rotors. The seller notes the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, power steering hoses, and brake fluid were replaced in 2023, and the upper rear control arms, serpentine belt and tensioner, drive belt tensioner, and oil were changed in October 2024.

I understand but it’s still not fixed and no explanation. What’s the discrepancy in Miles? How long ago did you send it to Car Fax because they should give you documentation and it should be relatively quick.
@mush1963 filed incorrectly at DMV when registered. It’s been corrected with a new title issued and carfax has been notified
@mush1963 everything works as designed. Pixels all good as seen in photos. original CD player intact and works. All seats, windows, lights and sunroof work. Could use windshield rubber trim
what is not in working order? Seats mirrors visor and side cup holder glove box . how are the pixels working and display brightness Ac cold ? Please give me anything if anything is wrong and I will need to address. Does sunroof retract and tilt how is the headliner. does the trunk have a CD player and are tools in the tool compartment

@95760CT For owner 2 I do not. I have had it corrected with Carfax and the local DMV.
The Carfax lists a mileage inconsistency under owner 3.
