This 2000 Porsche Boxster S has been reimagined as a tribute to the Ferrari Dino, the mid-engine V6 sports car line produced under a separate marque from 1967 to 1974. It wears a Magnum GT body inspired by the Dino’s unmistakable design and is finished in silver over a red full leather interior. Power is derived from a mid-mounted 3.2-liter flat-six engine, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a Wavetrac limited-slip differential. Modifications also include Daytona-style seat inserts, a replacement clutch kit, Godspeed adjustable coilovers, a Borla cat-back exhaust, and more. Combining elements of Porsche and Ferrari’s mid-engine, six-cylinder, rear-wheel-drive sports cars, this unique example is now being offered for auction by its seller and builder out of California.
Finished in silver, the 1980s Magnum GT fiberglass bodywork recreates the distinctive curves of the Ferrari Dino 206 GT, 246 GT, and 246 GTS models. The custom body offers widened bodywork by 10 inches, while the Boxster S offers a 95" wheelbase. Exterior details include split chrome bumpers, a vented hood, side air intakes, dual mirrors, and a characteristic Boxster S center-mounted twin exhaust outlet. It rides on silver multi-piece deep-dish aftermarket wheels. A collection of images is provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin has been customized with red leather upholstery, red carpeting, and Daytona-style seat inserts. A 911-sourced instrument cluster has been installed along with a custom flat-bottom steering wheel, and the fixed seats feature electrically adjustable backrests and seat height, accommodating drivers up to approximately 5’10” comfortably. An additional set of low-profile leather-upholstered seats is included, recommended for drivers taller than 6’. All gauges and accessories are reported to function properly. Two warning lights remain illuminated, including the brake fluid level light, due to the use of a low-profile Audi A4 fluid reservoir that does not fully communicate with the sensor, and the ABS light, although no faults are recorded on the OBD-II system.
Specialty German Parts of Northern California and installed in 2024. At the time of installation, the engine received an LN Engineering IMS bearing. The rear wheels are driven through a replacement 6-speed manual transmission purchased in 2018 (with 1,800 miles at the time) and installed in 2020, paired with a Wavetrac limited-slip differential and a new clutch kit including the flywheel, pressure plate, disc, throw-out bearing, release arm, and slave cylinder. Additional upgrades include Godspeed 12-way adjustable coilovers, a Borla catback exhaust, and brake rotors and pads with approximately 1k miles. The seller states the vehicle can be serviced at a Porsche dealer.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “There is no other car like this one that exists in the world. I get a whole lot of attention when I drive this car in the streets and at car shows.”

@LFM2024 thanks for your kind words
@witz yes it actually does and has a better seating position than a 904
This is to inform every one who are interested in this vehicle
The car has all it factory emission equipment that is required for the car to pass California emissions
It has its original air pump catalytic converters, evap system oxygen sensors etc
Please refer to the third video to see the OB2 reader showing all monitors being ready
If the vehicle is sold and the new owner is requiring a smog certificate for the state of California I can furnish one free of charge.
@Fynmere Although I have not weighed the car but it must be lighter .
The stock Boxster is about 3000 Lbs
This car most likely is around 2700 Lbs
The car feels much quicker than an stock
Porsche Boxster
10/% less weight equals faster acceleration and more gas milage
I have a 2006 Porsche 997 with a 4.2 liter race engine
The car gets 350hp and 320ftlb at the wheels on dyno
This car feels Sl most the same acceleration as My 400 crank HP 997
@VaheA From a weight perspective is the car lighter than a stock Boxster or about the same with the revised body?
@ddx77 there are two extensive videos of AC and heater operation published above.
It’s mentioned that all accessories work, does that include a/c ? Thanks !
Lovely build, I would think this has more inside room than a 904.
Amazing build from a very talented builder! Good luck with the auction!
Whomever did, this should be beaten within an inch of their life :-)
@jbauto yes It does look much better than first generation Boxster
@Flyingchef47 thanks for your kind words. I agree with your assessment and every time I drive the car to my local cars and coffee I always get many compliments
@tdskip i actually drove this car to Porsche dealer to pick up a part for my 997
all the sales staff and the general manager came out of the dealership to look at it and took few photos. the cars looks much better in person.
Almost worth buying just to schedule a service appointment at the local Porsche dealer.

@Tmort I have seen a lot of turned heads when driving in the streets and taking the car to cars and coffees but never seen one turned head followed by a scratch lol
Very cool! I’m sure it turns heads and causes folks to scratch them!
@Clint930 yes there are no whippers but there is enough room to attach one This body has a metal substructure A 1.5” bar is incorporated into the roof and the pillars also there is a 2x4” metal square tube is under the door jam that was originally incorporated into the body by the original manufacturer This vehicle had a fiberglass floor and firewall front and back that was part of the body so I had to cut that out and the body was welded to the Boxster chassis using the existing metalTubes and square metal under the door seals.Additional metal pieces were fabricated and welded to the chassis to attach the front and the rear of the car to the chassis The fabricated metals mentioned above were then attached to the body using fiberglass.I have driven this car for around 2500 miles There are no cracks and no squeaks when driving on the road
I absolutely love what you have created. I have a 981 Spyder that maybe I should transform? Two questions, I don't see windshield wipers. And, how is the body attached to what was or still is, a Porche Boxster? Thanks
@Dwhite I had the same idea but I could not find a 904 body
Plus 904 has a 4.5” shorter wheelbase
Much harder to fit it on to a 2000 Boxster Whivh has a 95” wheelbase.
@CustomPerformance Thanks for your kind words
I get a lot of Compliments and Thumbs up every time I take this car for a ride and go to car shows
@Niteroi this body was looks based on Dino Shape
It is much wider and has longer wheel base
@dino70089 thanks for your kind words
@Elongo yes the IMS wad replaced by a LN engineering unit
Certainly has a nicer interior than a real Dino
A Boxster with a Ferrari body. That is so wrong.
@Elongo clearly states it was in the description and listing…
@Elongo
Pictures 69 and 70.
Sorry I gotta ask...has the IMS bearing been done
Bid in the amount of $501
Really cool and unique build. Ferrari looks with Porsche reliability. Great combo!
Pretty cool man. Looks way better than a Boxster. Nice work. GL
Yes that is a very nice rebody and Dinos are an all-time fav of mine.
For me, as its a Porsche and I was spending a bunch of money, I would have gone 904 rebody. A car which also is beautiful and has a similarity in looks. GLWTA.
I gotta say, that’s one of the most tasteful rebodies I’ve ever seen. Nicely done.
Welcome to this Unique one of a kind build rebodied Porsche Boxster S.
I built this car myself
I have built many cars
One of my creations a 1955 MBZ 300sl Gullwing was sold 6 months ago
Just like this vehicle I build that one on a 2001 MBZ SLK 320
You can watch the videos of that. Shocks on my YouTube channel
Now back to this vehicle
A lot of time smd effort went into building this vehicle smd it took me 3 years to build it
I only used very fine material and the help
Of craftsmen who contributed to this build
I have taken this car to many car shows and all I have heard is nothing but positive comments,
Please do not hesitate ti ask me any questions you would have about this gem.
Best of luck to everyone who is interested to bid on this vehicle.
