We are pleased to present this 2000 Porsche 986 Boxster finished in Arctic Silver Metallic. The original Boxster model was updated with a larger 2.7L flat-six engine for the 2000 model year, and this 5-speed example features a timeless color combination with a Boxster Red Special Leather interior. Originally sold in Nevada, this Boxster has remained under the care of a PCA member in California since 2008 and is now being offered for auction showing approximately 57k miles on the odometer.
This 986 comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a black soft top and upgraded 18” Turbo-Look wheels. The Continental Extreme Contact tires show date codes from 2012 in front and 2018 in the rear. A clean CARFAX report is provided in the gallery and some imperfections are depicted including scratches beneath the front bumper and damage behind the lower right-side front grille.
The cabin was ordered in Boxster Red Special Leather upholstery with matching carpets, power-operated seats, a CD shelf center console, and the Hi-Fi Sound Package. Additional equipment includes a Porsche cabin wind deflector, cruise control, automatic climate control, a central locking system, power heated side mirrors, and an original Porsche CDR-220 radio.
This 2000 Boxster carries a mid-mounted 2.7L flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. As much as 217 HP is sent to the rear wheels while stopping power comes from 4-piston monobloc brakes front and rear. Standard features include front and rear stabilizer bats, power steering, Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS), and a speed-activated rear spoiler. The battery is said to have been replaced about three years ago and the seller reports an upgraded K&N air filter has been installed. Oil and brake fluid changes have been carried out at regular intervals and a new clutch was installed upon the seller’s purchase at 41,200 miles.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner's manuals, toolkit, service records, a set of two keys, and a clean title. Very well maintained and beautifully appointed from the factory, this 2000 Boxster makes an excellent choice for any enthusiast in search of a manual 986.

@Hugotoo I see it. Thank you for taking the time.
@SDSU1993 I added the close up of the Option Code sticker just now. If you don’t see it let me know.
Thanks

@Hugotoo Thank you! Much appreciated. Go Aztecs!
@SDSU1993 I’ll send a picture of the option codes tomorrow if that is OK. Yes as far as I know all the paint is original. Thanks for asking. BTW my son graduated from SDSU in 2018.
@hugotoo Is is possible to get a close-up photo of the options code sticker under the hood or, at minimum, a list of all the options codes from that sticker? Also, are all the panels original paint? Many thanks.
@Hugotoo Thanks for the info. Yea the keys are almost cost prohibitive when missing.

@PMA2211 hi. Yes I have both regular ignition keys AND the valet key. I can send a picture of all three if that helps Let me know. Good question as I know keys can be expensive. Thanks
Bid in the amount of $3,986
I see in the picture of the manuals and records there is just one normal key and the valet key. Are both normal key fobs with the car, or just the valet and one standard?

I would overwhelmingly recommend the new PCCM+ Carplay stereo as an upgrade for the buyer of this car. Completely modernizes the dash and improves the sound in the car.
I had this car same color combo in a 1997 and it is now sitting back with its original owner a few miles away from you in Yorba Linda. Would recommend James at Redline in Orange if you need further review of the part that should not be named.
Thanks for bidding URS6

@Azguy238 I didn’t understand at the time (when I did the clutch) about the IMS bearing so I didn’t do it. I subsequently drove anther 16,000 miles with no incident. I have sent the oil out for analysis after the last two oil and filter changes and both came back with no evidence of a failed bearing. I am including the oil analysis with the car. Hope that answers your questions. Thanks
The Clutch was replaced....how about the IMS bearing?
Thanks for viewing my car. This was my first Porsche and I have had a two more. I am selling this one to buy another! I am willing to answer any questions. So please ask me. Best of luck with the auction.
