Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Metropol Blue interior, this 2000 Porsche 986 Boxster features a 5-speed manual transmission paired with its flat-six engine. This Boxster was sold new in Massachusetts and moved to Florida in 2012 where it is now being offered for auction at no reserve while showing approximately 85k miles on the odometer.
This 986 is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a Metropol Blue convertible top and an optional polished stainless steel exhaust finisher. It rides on factory 17” Carrera twist spoke wheels which are painted black and dressed in a set of Bridgestone Potenza tires from 2008. Some rock chips and dents are noted throughout the exterior, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing damage to the right front end in 2009.
The Metropol Blue partial leather interior includes a sound system paired with the original Porsche CDR-220 radio. Other accessories include a CD storage compartment, automatic speed control, air conditioning, power-adjustable seats, and a storage box located above the engine cover. Some damage is noted on the seating surfaces in addition to cracks on the leather steering wheel. The air conditioning does not blow cold, although all other accessories are said to be working properly.
As much as 217 HP and 192 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels from a 2.7-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Limited maintenance information is available, and the seller states the control arms, front shocks, and engine mounts are due for replacement soon.
This sale will include a clean title, owner's manuals, and the original window sticker.

@Jritti Yes, the Carfax is correct. The previous owner lives in South America and only drove the car when at his vacation home in Miami, FL. No signs of rust anywhere.
The carfax shows mileage reached 78k in 2011 and you’ve listed it as 85k current mileage. Doesn’t sound correct. Will you (or the owner) certify the mileage.
Also,, the car was based in the northeast for 12 years. Do you see any signs of rust along the floorboards? Thanks
@Jritti Bakes work and feel good. No squeaking. Tires are from 2008 so I suggest that the new owner change them.
How are the tires and brakes?
@UTR With 87k on the clock, the IMS issue would have likely come to light by now. I suspect this one is good to go. ...It's the low-mile cars with no IMS replacement that worry me.
@UTR No proof that the IMS bearing was ever replaced.
Has the IMS bearing been replaced on this?

@Aldeane It can be driven. I don't see an issue with that at all. All this car really needs is control arms, front shocks, some motor mounts, AC repair, front seats upholstered and you are good to go for a long time. It only has 86K mile s and the engine and tranny are both in great working order.
The red warning light is the seatbelt light. I was not wearing my seatbelt during the video.
You're not a cop, are you? ;)
Is the vehicle drivable for 100 mile trip or does it require trailering(?)
What is the red warning light on dash in driving video(?)
