Finished in Ocean Blue Metallic over a Savanna Beige interior, this 6-speed 2000 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe was acquired by the seller from its original owner and features upgraded SSR forged wheels, a MOMO steering wheel, Braum bucket seats, Koni shock absorbers, and Eibach lowering springs.  Recently treated to routine service as well as paint correction and ceramic coating, this 996 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey showing just over 70k miles on the odometer.

This Carrera comes finished in the rare extra-cost color of Ocean Blue Metallic (L3A2) and rides on a set of upgraded 18” SSR forged two-piece wheels in gunmetal grey with new Firestone Fire Hawk Indy 500 tires.  The exterior is said to have recently undergone professional paint correction and ceramic coating. The front bumper has been refinished to address signs of road-going wear, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Savanna Beige partial leather interior has been fitted with an Alcantara-wrapped MOMO Mod7 steering wheel, hub, and a pair of brown leather Braum bucket seats mounted on Planted Seat Technology brackets. Some wear is noted on the ignition surround, handbrake lever, center console, front floor mats, and rear seating area.  All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional, and the original seats are said to accompany the sale.

The naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. A new clutch was installed at 56k miles and service performed at 70k miles is said to have included an oil and filter change, new air and fuel filters, new brakes pads and rotors, and A/C service with a new condenser. A professional alignment has been performed and the suspension features upgraded Koni shocks, Eibach Sport Springs, and Mylee control arms.

This sale will include a clean title.

Looks like a solid 996 to me. I love the seats and most of all the car looks well cared for. Good luck with sale !

  • LongwoodCharger (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

With all due respect, 2000-2005 all M96/M97 engines have the SINGLE ROW bearing with the highest IMS failure rate.
1997-1999: dual row (failure rate ~1%)
2000-2005: single row (failure rate ~8%)
2006-2008: large single row (failure rate (~1%)

@Sanderson1 Hello @Sanderson1 and @eln521 the car passed emissions and all is up to date .

  • eln521 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Sanderson1 I think you meant to ask the seller.

  • Sanderson1 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@eln521 how has the car been reregistered in NJ without passing emissions?

  • shadyyoussef (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@eln521 Hello @eln521 I do not have the original wheels just these beautiful SSR gt3 wheels wrapped in brand new fire hawk Firestone indy 500 tires which are so good btw ! And the wheels recently powder coated so they’re flawless and look awesome on the car everyone loves them :)

  • eln521 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Do you have the original wheels?

  • shadyyoussef (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@eln521 the car is really up to date and an absolute pleasure to drive I set it up as a perfect very enjoyable Dailey drivable car

  • shadyyoussef (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@eln521 Hello @eln521 I’m not too sure that’s when previous original owner had it , I’m assuming it was because he barley drove it , but all passed on my end and everything is up to date :)

  • eln521 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Why did it fail emissions testing twice? Also no record on the CARFAX of passing after failing the second time.

  • shadyyoussef (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@eln521 Hello @eln521 , pictures of the original steering wheel and seats will be posted ! Thank you for the reminder.

This is a double row IMS bearing car from the factory which is what some people upgrade to ,and was told it is good upon Inspection when the clutch was done.

  • eln521 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

    Photo of original steering wheel?

    Photo of original seats?

    IMS bearing addressed?

  • shadyyoussef (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@JBoxerGT2 Hello @JBoxerGT2 once you sit on these seats you’ll find that they are extremely comfortable and in person look so good and I’m also giving the stock matching seats with the car so it’s a no brained , you’ll have options , whichever you prefer :)
Also the stock steering wheel will also be included .

  • JBoxerGT2 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

The seats are to much I think. But at least if they matched the rest of the upholstery, they would look a lot better, more complete and part of the car. This may sell $22 to $28k due to low miles
