Offered for auction is this 2000 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Metropol Blue interior. This 6-speed Coupe benefits from a recent full service, LN Engineering IMS bearing retrofit, and a new clutch, as well as aftermarket LED lighting, an upgraded sound system, replacement black leather seats, and 19” wheels. Showing approximately 92k miles on the odometer, this Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee accompanied by a clean title and CARFAX report.
This first-generation 996 Carrera was ordered in Arctic Silver Metallic and features aftermarket LED projector headlamps. The car rides on a set of aftermarket Boxster Spyder-style 19” wheels finished in black with silver outer lips, colored center crests, and Federal tires dated from 2020. The front bumper had been refinished at some point under prior ownership and the seller notes several paint chips and imperfections on the hood. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The Metropol Blue interior features an Alcantara headliner as well as replacement black leather seats and an upgraded Pioneer double-din head unit paired with a backup camera. Signs of wear are noted on the driver’s floor mat and soft-touch material on the handbrake and center console. The hood struts and passenger side window regulator have been recently replaced in preparation for sale. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional, although the electric sunroof occasionally requires manual assistance to be fully closed.
The naturally aspirated 3.4L flat-six engine produces up to 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. An upgraded K&N air intake has been installed and the seller reports a service was completed in the last 50 miles including a new clutch, rear main seal, water pump, and LN Engineering IMS bearing retrofit as well as an oil and filter change.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a set of two keys, a toolkit, spare tire, some service records, and a clean title.

congratulations ABD20152 - I think you did well and you can recondition that center console - looks like the seatbelt buckle hits it, and who knows what else on the console. But an easy fix.
And new clutch, IMS, RMS - ready to go another 100K miles

I'm still trying to figure out what I'm missing ?
Did it sell?
Wait... what's the reserve??
For the condition I feel this one should have sold. Some good maintenance done to it recently but 20 should've done it.

@Ejmcga The car really is ready to go. It has been detailed but a really good professional detail goes a long way..that could be done. The sunroof motor seems to be weak. It opens fine and closes right to the last few inches where you just have to give it an extra push before it kicks back. I would replace the motor. I was going to try to do this but had trouble getting the part by the time of the auction. Probably a few hundred to have it replaced. Thanks! Miles
Any recommendations on a to do list for getting the car wife friendly? Can you quote a price to resolve sunroof issue before pickup?
@CYCESQ Motion Consulting LLC Knoxville TN. Thanks!
@Miles.S Thank you for the quick reply, what is the name of your shop?
@CYCESQ This was performed at my shop just before the car was listed here on Pcarmarket. Thanks! Miles
Good morning, I know I am late to the party, but had a question. Who did the IMS and Clutch work? Thank you in advance.
If I win it, I’ll adopt the dog ? or gorilla ?

@Mongoosedoc was not optioned with heated seats
Heated seats?
@155MPH Oddly enough, the drivers seat was fine, passengers seat was cracked in the cushion from the leather getting hard.
@Miles.S The damaged seats and the console condition do make me wonder what gorilla previously owned this car! LOL
@155MPH Correct. The original metropol blue seats were damaged and replaced with a set of blacks. It is a hard color to find and match
So, it the description correct that the seats are black leather whereas the interior is Metropol l Blue?
@Blubusdrvr Yes, I believe it is. I will confirm today. HAHA the soft touch on these cars really deteriorates quickly. Many will pull the console out and paint it.
Hi All,
Checking in as the seller here. Please let me know if any questions or requests. The car is located in the Southeast. Shipping is available worldwide. This is a great updated and maintained 996! Thanks, MilesHi All,
Looks like a decent candidate for a driver. Two questions. 1: Is the Pioneer head unit Android Auto capable? and B: What kind of dog do you have? Or Gorilla? That center console is a mess!
