Up for auction at no-reserve is this 2000 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Rainforest Green Metallic over a Savannah Beige interior. This 2000 example features a 6-speed manual transmission as well as exclusive extended leather upholstery throughout the cabin. Reported to be in excellent overall condition with a recent oil service carried out in preparation for sale, this Carrera Cabriolet is now being offered by its seller in Florida while showing just over 53k miles on the odometer.
This Cabriolet is finished in the eye-catching shade of Rainforest Green Metallic. The paint is described by the seller to be in excellent original condition with minimal signs of road-going wear (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). The black convertible soft top is said to be fully functional and in great shape. This 996 rides on 18” 993 Turbo-Look wheels that come dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
Inside, the Savannah Beige interior features draped leather front and rear seats as well as exclusive extended leather upholstery on the ignition surround, speaker covers, instrument surround, air vents, dashboard, door panels, defroster trim, and steering wheel airbag module. Other options include 8-way power-operated seats, driver seat memory, a sound system, and CDR-220 radio. A GT3-style center console delete has also been applied. The original radio has been retained and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
This first-generation 996 Carrera is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.4 L flat-six engine that sends as much as 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels, allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 5 seconds. All available maintenance history is detailed on CARFAX and a fresh oil and filter service was carried out recently in preparation for sale. There is no record of an IMS bearing upgrade.

Are there any service records available, Carfax shows only two basic services in 21 years which is unusual for a Porsche especially one in the IMS bearing window ?

That center console delete is a cool, GT3 inspired mod often done to increase legroom. The kit alone is around $300. Not many people use the cd holder these days......

Re: LongPlay's question on the missing CD storage module on the center console, my guess is that at sometime in the past, it was removed to accomodate a modern BT screen system. The six disc module that goes with the Porsche radio, is also missing from the frunk. At one of the sales of the car, the new screen was removed, the original radio reinstalled, but not the CD changer. Maybe....

@mbaum no receipt of IMS... no hardtop.. vehicle is in excellent shape. One of the nicest examples we have seen. We will be providing some more pictures shortly
What gorgeous colors. The write-up is not too informative on this very car so I am wondering. I would assume the IMS bearing has not been replaced. Are service records available? I also assume that it does not come with a hardtop. Are the wheels original to the car? Thanks.
