This 2000 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet is finished in Black over matching upholstery and features a 6-speed manual transmission. It was further configured with the Power Seat Package, Heated Front Seats Package, Digital Sound Package, Porsche Stability Management, and more. Originally a California car, this 996 has been maintained in Arizona, where it is now being offered for auction with fewer than 94k miles showing on the odometer.
This 911 comes finished in Black with a matching convertible soft top. The equipment includes a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and Porsche-branded brake calipers. It rides on aftermarket wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires from 2020 at the front and 2022 at the rear. The seller notes a small imperfection on the soft top, a minor crack on the front bumper, and a missing Porsche-crested wheel cap. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with black leather upholstery. Optional equipment includes the Power Seat Package, Heated Front Seats Package, Digital Sound Package, a 3-spoke leather steering wheel, and Porsche-crested headrests. A Kenwood head unit incorporating a backup camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and Apple CarPlay has been installed by Audio Adrenaline in Prescott, Arizona. The seller notes slight wear on the steering wheel, pixelation on the odometer, and the sun visor lights do not work.
A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Porsche Stability Management was additionally opted for. Recent maintenance is said to include all new fluid reservoirs, a new fuel pump, HVAC compressor motor, convertible top motors and hydraulics, and new catalytic converters. The seller adds that this 996 has been serviced by a respected Porsche specialist in Prescott, Arizona.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This was my first Porsche at age 70, and I only wish I had gotten into them sooner—it's been an absolute joy. The car drives like a champ and has been garage-kept since I purchased it. It was recently detailed with a ceramic coating and has been a part of my active involvement in the Arizona Mountain Region PCA club. I'm selling it after purchasing another 911 through PCARMARKET. The IMS bearing has not been replaced, but with 93K miles and no metal shavings in the oil pan, I believe it remains in good condition. If ever needed, the replacement could be addressed when servicing the clutch, which currently has no issues. I’m confident this 996 is in excellent working order and has many great years ahead.”

@Tpc11905 $1k to correct LCD odometer issue 2 yrs ago
Bid in the amount of $7,500
@Tpc11905 i was quoted $1000 to fix the odometer. About three years ago, never got around to it, didn't bother me that much
@tsill13 the front leather seats were replaced by a local upholstery lady a year and a 1/2 ago, they're like new, not stained that might just be lighting. Clutch has probably never been replaced. The LCD for the odometer is permanently missing 2 lines. Front tires have about 25000 miles on them. Rear tires About 10000 no work has been done on the suspension that I'm aware of but it feels fine.
Can you provide some clarity on the leather that looks either stained or worn?
I know you mention the clutch performs ok, do you know when it was last/or ever replaced?
The pixelation on the dash, is it intermittent, or always pixelated?
Age of the tires/manufacture date?
Any suspension work that you are aware/updated or replaced shocks/components?
Thanks
Has seller gotten a quote to repair pixelation as noted in the narrative? If so, please quote the figure. Thank you.

@pastorruss1956 the gentleman above answered correctly, IMS not replaced
@pastorruss1956 the seller mentions the IMS bearing in his "the seller would like you to know" section above. It has not been replaced.
No mention of the IMS bearing being replaced/serviced.

I have bought and sold 911s with PCARMarket with stellar results in the past. Because of this, I suggested this terrific platform in his purchasing a 911. Now it's time for him to let go of this 996. Knowing this seller very well, a dedicated PCA member, his high integrity and how he has cared for the Porsche seen here, I highly recommend a serious look if you're interested is in a well-maintained/serviced 996 Cab manual. No stone has been left unturned in his description.
