Welcoming the turn of the century, the Porsche 996 Carrera 4 Coupe Millennium Edition was produced in a limited series of 911 examples featuring special Violet Chromaflair paint, Brown Natural Leather upholstery, and several exclusive trim pieces. This 996 came optioned with a 6-speed manual transmission and was acquired by the seller from its original owner out of Texas in 2022. Showing under 25k miles on the odometer and fortified by a recent major service and IMS bearing upgrade, this limited-edition Carrera 4 is now being offered for auction out of California.
A special offering for one year only, Violet Chromaflair is a unique metallic paint color comprised of shifting purple, grey, and greenish hues. The Millennium Edition receives Litronic headlights as standard equipment along with a rear window wiper, exclusive stainless steel exhaust pipes, and a chrome “911” designation on the rear end. This example rides on 18” Carrera wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The seller describes the condition of the car as being consistent with its low mileage and notes a full paint correction was recently completed along with dry-ice treatment of the undercarriage. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Brown Natural Leather upholstery and features exclusive details including aluminum instrument dials, Dark Wood trim, and additional leather covering the rear center console, steering column casing, air vents, and instrument panel. Other equipment includes heated and power-operated seats with lumbar support, automatic climate control, an onboard computer, Digital Sound Package, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM).
A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine distributes 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque to each wheel through a 6-speed manual transmission. An accompanying invoice shows an LN Engineering IMS bearing installed by Hudson Motorsports in 2022 along with a new camshaft seal, rear main seal, spark plugs, coil packs, timing chain rail set, exhaust manifold gaskets, power steering fluid, oil separator, and a new Sachs clutch at a cost of over $5k.
This sale will include the original window sticker and a clean title.

carguru101 - You will love this car. It is the best looking 996 ever built. Paint and interior color combination is fantastic. They draws looks and questions everywhere. This appears to be a very nice example. I own #601 (with 7K miles). IMHO a bargain. ENJOY

Extremely rare and beautiful car. I've seen this car at local C&C events. The paint is a real head turner. Owner borders on OCD with his passion and care of his cars.

@luis.seneriz Unfortunately my fathers recent hip surgery has made it difficult to continue to drive a stick. I love the car and would keep for myself but I already have a C4 cabriolet of my own. These are awesome cars. Like you said, the car has been extremely taken care of and the next owner will be very happy.
Seller why the quick sell? I know this car personally, the previous owner whose name is Constantine also has a 930. He’s a real good friend of my mechanic Justin Hudson. Anyway I was at Hudson’s Motorsports when the engine was out on this car and a bunch of work was done, the timing chain pads, etc, etc. I imagine with the paint correction this car looks amazing. While the car was here n Texas it was extremely well maintained. Hudson Motorsports, Justin, works on my 99 and my 03 turbo coupe that I bought here last April. This car if you want a Millenium is as good as you are going to find. I knew when the car came up for sale but since I modified my cars and this is a awd car it wasn’t something I was interested in. This is a beautiful example and should even look more impressive than the last time I saw it. GLWTS

@PorscheGuy32 @PorscheGuy32, can you post a picture with the display panel on and showing A/C, temp, blower etc?
@phil_c Not a bad idea, Im sure it would look great with Coco mats.
@Rlanning Its seems as if it has penetrated, I don't want to mess with it too much and possibly make worse. Not sure if screen can be replaced, don't see why not. Again, in person does not show much and hardly noticeable.
@MichaelMatho- original mats are nice but the CocoMats in black/tan really make the interior pop.
Has the adhesive penetrated the screen material or can it be removed with a certain type of gunk remover? Could the screen be replaced? Thanks, Rlan

@Rlanning Nothing else has been modified or altered on the car.
Your answer to my question”is it original just as it came from the factory” seems to not be correct according to the very intelligent Porsche community. Sounds like those wheels were not on the car when it left the factory assembly line and were replaced with the current wheels at a later date. What else on this car might have been replaced under the guise of “OEM”, but not original in the manufacturing of the car? Thanks, Rlan

@phil_c I agree with you. The window sticker says 18" lt alloy turbo look wheels. I'm guessing these were swapped at some point. Most of the ones I have seen started peeling the chrome so I am not surprised. A purist can simply find a new set. These still look great to me.
Bid in the amount of $10,550
@phil_c Your correct, they came with chrome twist wheels. The Carrera II wheels that are on the car are OEM Porsche wheels produced by BBS. From my understand, the chrome would peel and many replace the wheels.
Hmmm..
My Millennium came with chrome turbo twist wheels. Were the Carrera wheels a factory option?
@Rlanning Yes, the car is all OEM. No modifications or any aftermarket accessories/parts.
Has anything been added or changed since it came from the factory as far as appearance of he car’s interior or exterior, excluding the IMS and clutch? In other words, is it still original, just as it came from the factory? Thanks, Rlan
@Rlanning @Rlanning. #138
What is the construction number out of the 911 built? Thanks, Rlan
@WRENCH.56. Dry ice treatment is a detailing method used to clean gunk or any debris. The original owner was very meticulous/clean freak like myself. Your right, with such low miles not very necessary.
Please pardon my ignorance, but what is the “dry ice treatment of the undercarriage “ all about?
What is it and why do it?
@Peabo. It looks like an adhesive was placed on screen, not really sure how it happened. When I purchased car from original owner it was like that, did not bother me at all, can see screen perfectly.
@porscheguy32 - image 61 shows the audio display with a bunch of marks. Do you know if this is normal wear?
Anyone else seeing this, please weigh in. This bit of wear seems odd and i'd like to learn what's ok/not ok.
Thank you
