Finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over Graphite Grey full leather upholstery, this 2000 Porsche 996 Carrera 4 Cabriolet pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.4-liter flat-six. It also features a HiFi Sound System, the Aluminum/Chrome Package, 18” Turbo-look wheels, and more. Acquired by the seller on PCARMARKET, this Carrera is now being offered for auction at no reserve out of Illinois with just over 118k miles showing on the odometer.
This 996 comes finished in Midnight Blue Metallic with a blue convertible soft top. The optional Aluminum/Chrome Package adds exclusive stainless-steel tailpipes, while optional 18” Turbo-look light alloy wheels come wrapped in Atlas Force HP tires from 2020 (6/32 front, 8/32 rear). The seller notes that, upon close inspection, some paint cracks can be found on the front bumper near the passenger’s side headlight. The bumpers are believed to have been refinished, according to the CAFAX report noting damages in 2006, 2008, 2018, and 2020. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the driver is situated within Graphite full leather upholstery. Equipment includes a 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and a wind deflector. Power is provided by a 3.4-liter flat-six engine sending 296 HP to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller reports that service before their acquisition included replacements of the IMS bearing, clutch kit, rear main seal, upper and lower front control arms, transmission water hose, and return line in 2017, as well as a new radiator in February 2022. Additionally, the sway bar end links, tie rod ends, and Bilstein shocks are said to have been replaced, and a new battery has been fitted. The CARFAX report shows a total of 31 service history records.

The seller would like you to know: “I purchased this 911 in December after selling my 2003 996 Turbo in late November 2023. It is a very well-sorted car mechanically, with new lower and upper control arms, sway bar links, sway bar bushings, tie rod ends, and Bilstein shocks. It handles like a car with 18,000 miles. The IMS, RMS, and clutch have been replaced. All the electronics are working, the A/C is cold, and the heat is hot. It is a great driver's example ready to be enjoyed. However, I am selling it to find something with a bit more power. After driving a Turbo 996, I miss the boost and am looking for a car with greater horsepower.”

@Jflax I do not have any information on the accidents. I believe they were minor and just the bumper was repaired.

Since this is my first auction, let me introduce myself. I’m a 37-year-old accountant, and I’ve owned around 50 cars over the years.
