Up for auction is this 2000 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a black interior with hardback Sport Seats. This 6-speed 2000 example features upgraded 18” wheels and has undergone considerable maintenance within the last 1k miles including a new battery, clutch, flywheel, crank seal, and dual-row IMS bearing upgrade from LN Engineering. Showing just over 50k miles on the odometer, this nicely presented Carrera is being offered for auction by its seller out of Minnesota.
This 996 comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and rides on a set of polished 18” Victor Equipment Baden wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires dated from 2017. The car has recently been fully detailed and the seller reports one scratch on the front passenger-side fender. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The factory 18” Sport Design wheels are also said to accompany the sale, dressed in a set of Michelin tires.
Inside, this Carrera features a black interior with desirable painted hardback Sport Seats, an Alcantara headliner, a three-spoke steering wheel, aluminum-look instrument dials, and a factory PCM head unit with navigation. Some aftermarket aluminum-look trim pieces have been added along with an aftermarket radar detector system, and the seller confirms all instrumentation and accessories to be fully functional.
This first-generation 996 Carrera is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.4L flat-six engine that sends as much as 296 HP and 259 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a desirable 6-speed manual transmission. A brake fluid flush, oil service, and A/C recharge are said to have been completed at 44k miles, and a major service was recently completed at 50k miles which included a new battery, OEM clutch, dual-mass flywheel, pilot bearing, crank seal, and LN Engineering dual-row IMS bearing upgrade. Corresponding invoices from Imola Motorsports Inc. are provided for reference in the photo gallery.
This sale will include a set of two keys, original programming DVDs, service records, the factory Sport Design wheels, and a clean title. Do not miss your chance to become the next owner of this well-equipped and thoroughly serviced 996 Carrera.

@bkim10 Absolutely not, no weird smells or anything. No signs of chewed up insulation either. The garage it was in was temp controlled, sitting along side a Model X Tesla and a Audi S5 Cab. The owners were meticulous on their cars.
@AJsGarage Are there any odd smells or stains remaining in the frunk area or elsewhere (i.e. mouse pee)? Thank you.
@JokerMmmHmm I posted a ton of underbody pics and will shortly have a video for it too.
no DME report
Engine mounts are good from the fact that the exhaust tips sit true
What I posted for service records is all I have.
As mentioned in the ad, both sets of wheels come with and a date of a 2016-2017 on the tires
No records of timing chain stuff, so assume it was not done.
Knob controls radar, yes. Volume and power. Its in the video as I show its operation
Yes, I can surely assist with shipping. I will not pay for it but I can organize for you.
@bkim10 one remote is keyed for the car but does not start ignition. Likely needs to be programmed. But is included in sale. Other key works as it should.
@jbelcredi I do not have a DME report.
I am open to a PPI at your cost.
I am taking pics of bottom side shortly. Will upload here for all to see. It literally just had IMS upgrade and clutch so I’d imagine the shop working on it would have noted any issues and the owner would have fixed.
@Dupla also, no clear coat peeling. Paint is mint. It’s likely the sun angle again.
@M_3 As far as I am aware, it is all factory paint. I wasn’t told otherwise and it doesn’t “seem” like there is paint work. It shows well for its age but I’m getting it detailed as we speak so if those guys tell me otherwise, I will note it here.
Bid in the amount of $16,000
@Dupla The seats are black with no fading. It’s the sunlight angle probably?
@Dupla yes that was from Windsor Ontario to Sandiego CA
Bid in the amount of $14,000
Are you able to confirm that the car wears all of its original paint, and that no paintwork has been done to it (to your knowledge)? Thanks in advance.
Is that the clear coat pealing on the roof in picture #13? Also the passenger seat looks like it's yellowish, thank you.
Hi.. have you got any pics of the underside? Is engine dry? Have you got the DME report? Would you get a PPI from local Porsche dealer?
@Devil_Dog_Ultra @Devil_Dog_Ultra, that was 2800.00 from Canada to the US? Thanks
@AJsGarage thanks.
Hi, one of the reports said the remotes weren’t functional. Are both remotes working?
Bit of a laundry list here, but appreciate any additional info you can provide.
Any chance you happen to have:
?-DME?
-Close up photos of brake and a/c lines underneath and towards the front the car and behind the underbody coverings
?-Close up photos of front air-dams to look at the front heat exchangers?
-Close up photos of the drains under the front hood behind the front trunk/storage area
-Photos underneath the engine bay. Specifically the area between the engine and transmission
-Photos of suspension bushings, especially for the lower control arms
-Photos of the engine mounts
Other questions:?
-How far back of service records??
-This comes with both sets of wheels?
-Do you have the date code on tires?
-Looks like the timing chain, guide, sprocket had recommended servicing in 2017, do you know if that work was done?
-Is the knob/button in the driver side foot well for the radar detector? Is the radar detector and remote button still functioning?
-Sounds like you can help arrange shipping?
@AJsGarage @Dupla @AJsGarage I’ve shipped from Canada with customs and fees it was 2800 but depends on sales price.
@Dupla I have never shipped to Canada, but I certainly can assist in anyway possible and ask my shipping brokers.
@Devil_Dog_Ultra So roughly 1500 miles from me to you. I would guess 1300 open carrier and 1800 for enclosed carrier.
Do you ship to Canada?
Any good shipping quotes to Sandiego?

@jccaro Hello. Yes its unfortunate the sticker was removed. I have messaged my local Porsche dealer with the Vin to get the options code. As soon as I have it, I will post it here. Thank you for your questions.
I see that the vehicle identification sticker on the bottom of the trunk lid is gone… can you provide the list of factory options on the car with the codes from the manual?
I see PSM, rear wiper, remote CD, navigation, sport seats (painted) and what looks like the standard interior. Let me know if you can provide.
Thanks.
GLWA!
