We are pleased to present this 2000 Dodge Viper SR II GTS finished in Viper Steel Grey over a black leather interior. Introduced in 1996, the GTS was the first Dodge Viper coupe and features an 8.0L V10 engine sending up to 450 HP to the rear wheels. This 2000 example is believed to have been a lifelong California car and was recently serviced with fresh brake fluid, new tires, a new idler pulley, and more. Now with just over 14k miles showing on the odometer, this SR II Viper GTS is being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
This GTS comes finished in Viper Steel Grey with white racing stripes. The exhaust outlets were moved to the rear of the car for the second-generation Viper, and the GTS model received a fixed double-bubble roof panel designed to accommodate racing helmets on track days. A full paint correction has been carried out and clear paint protection film is applied over the white racing stripes. A few small chips are also noted throughout the exterior, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The factory 18″ chrome alloy wheels come dressed in new Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather and includes airbags, air conditioning, power windows, and power door locks as standard equipment. The seller reports only very minor signs of wear and confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional including the original Alpine radio. Instrumentation consists of a 7k-RPM tachometer and 200-MPH speedometer ahead of the driver along with four auxiliary gauges mounted over the central air vents displaying coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and battery voltage,
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 8.0L V10 engine which produced up to 450 HP and 490 lb-ft of torque when new. The 2000 model year saw the introduction of lighter hyper-eutectic pistons for the engine as well as factory frame improvements. The rear wheels are driven by way of a Tremec T56 6-speed manual gearbox, allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4 seconds. Recent service is said to include a brake fluid flush, new windshield wipers, new rear hatch struts, a new idler pulley, engine air filter, and new tires.
This sale will include a clean title. A true American supercar, this low-mileage Viper GTS makes an excellent choice for collectors and discerning drivers alike.
