This Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet is one of less than 600 examples produced for the U.S. during the 1988 model year and was originally sold from Rusnak Porsche of Pasadena, California. It comes finished in Black paint over a Champagne Special Leather interior and features an optional limited-slip differential. This Turbo has remained in California throughout its life, spending most of the time in storage apart from occasional drives and maintenance. Benefitting from a major engine-out service completed in 2015, this 930 Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Southern California showing just over 19k miles on the odometer.
This Turbo comes finished in Black with a matching power-operated cabriolet top. The wide rear fenders are protected by black stone guard decals and the seller describes the finish to have been preserved in excellent overall condition apart from a few very minor imperfections. Equipment includes front and rear spoilers, integrated fog lights, and chrome 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels currently dressed in a set of Toyo Proxes 4 tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this Turbo showcases Champagne Special Leather upholstery accented by a black dashboard, steering wheel, and upper door panels. Factory equipment includes power windows, power seats, a leather-covered steering wheel, air conditioning, automatic heating control, a central locking system, and a turbo boost pressure gauge integrated within the central tachometer. The sound system has been upgraded with a Kenwood KDC-X997 head unit including Bluetooth, HD Radio, and satellite radio integration. The A/C system was recharged in 2015.
The turbocharged and intercooled 3.3L flat-six engine develops up to 282 HP and 289 lb.-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission and an optional limited-slip differential. The seller reports an engine-out service was completed in 2015 including replacements of all seals and gaskets along with the distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, and chain tensioners. The rear brake pads and rotors were also replaced at this time along with rebuilt shift linkage. More recently in August of 2021, service was completed by Bentley Porsche Newport Beach at a cost of over $4k including an oil and filter change, brake fluid flush, fuel line repair, and transmission bushing replacement.
This sale will include the original window sticker and a clean title. A lifelong California car with less than 20k miles traveled from new, this 930 Cabriolet makes an excellent investment and collecting opportunity.
