Said to have been originally used as a firetruck, this Japanese-market 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser HZJ75 has been customized with a pickup body conversion along with a rear cargo box and spare wheel mount, a roof basket, accessory lights, side steps, an ARB front bumper, and 16” wheels. This 70-Series Land Cruiser is powered by a diesel-fueled 4.2-liter inline-six engine that drives the rear or all four wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox and a dual-range transfer case. Imported to the United States earlier in 2024 and fortified with a new timing belt and tires, this custom Land Cruiser pickup is now being offered for auction out of Washington.
The Land Cruiser features a custom pickup body conversion with a rear bed, tailgate, and sport bar. The exterior has been professionally refinished in Forest Green and equipped with a roof rack, a cargo box, an ARB front bumper, a tubular steel rear bumper, side steps, mud flaps, fender-mounted mirrors, PIAA front driving lights, LED accessory lights, and aftermarket 16” wheels with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires and a matching full-size spare. The seller notes some scratches in the window tint, chips and scratches on the paint, and a small dent above the rear driver’s side door panel. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, this HZJ75 features grey vinyl upholstery with a black rubber floor liner. Accessories include a gray two-spoke steering wheel, manual roll-up windows, a heater, a factory AM/FM stereo, and a CB radio mount on the glove box. A block-off plate has been installed on the center console storage compartment.
Rated at 129 HP and 200 lb.-ft of torque, the 4.2-liter 1HZ inline-six diesel engine drives the rear or all four wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The seller indicates the timing belt, tires, engine oil, and oil filter were replaced in 2024.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: "This is a nearly unique rig with only a couple examples known with this truck conversion. We are happy to assist with shipping by posting it on Central Dispatch. The buyer places the amount for shipping and pays the trucker when he arrives."

I am uploading a photo of the Import Certificate. On the bottom left corner of the translated page you can see that there is a record from June 11, 2021 that posts the kms at 6,300 and from Dec. 19 2023 where the kms were posted at 6,900 kms. In Japan cars must be inspected every two years and the odo is recorded during those inspections. The export certificate then requires the odo reading from the two previous inspections. This is the best way to see the odo reading is correct and hasn't been rolled back. This is because it is pretty certain that this odo reading was done prior to the owner thinking of selling it and prior to the eventual truck conversion in this case.
@NLE When we imported this LandCruiser in March 2024 with 7427 kms (4430 miles). We are assuming that the conversion was done with just a few less kms than that. We have researched other fire rigs and know that they are well maintained, stored indoors and always have low kms.
How many kilometers / miles were on the truck before the conversion? Estimate on total?
