Up for auction is a low mileage 1999 Porsche 996 Carrera 6-speed.  Equipped with the desirable factory Aerokit package, this narrow body sports car is quickly gaining traction among the 911 community and offers a great opportunity for enthusiasts and collectors alike.  Showing just 38k miles on the odometer, this Carrera remains in the city of San Mateo where it has spent most of its life.  It is now being offered in excellent condition and boasts an extensive list of factory options, tasteful upgrades, and service records since new.

Finished in Arctic Silver, this 996 is stated to retain all of its original paint aside from a respray of the front hood in 2013 due to rock chips.  A detailed receipt of the work performed will be included with the sale.  Overall, the paint is said to be in exceptional condition with very minimal wear.

Bespoke to the highly desirable Aerokit package, this 996 is equipped with aggressive front and rear fascias as well as a spoiler and rocker panels, paying homage to the legendary GT3 model.  The seller took the liberty of installing Litronic headlights in place of the stock pair.  Completing this car's eye catching stance are a set of 19″ Graphite Stark wheels and upgraded HR lowering springs.

Inside, you will find a black leather interior that seamlessly complements the exterior.  The factory comfort seats are finished in supple leather with lumbar support installed on the driver's side.  Additional factory options include: automatic heating control, Hifi sound system, radio with CD changer, all leather lining, and soft leather in rear.  Overall, this interior is said to stand in excellent condition, which is backed up by the gallery photos.  The seller does note that the passenger side full-automatic window movement is currently inoperative.

This 996 Carrera retains its original 3.4L flat-six engine which produces 296HP.  Power is delivered to the rear wheels by way of a desirable 6-speed manual transmission allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 5 seconds.  The seller emphasizes that this car has always been properly maintained by Porsche dealers and specialists with a stamped service booklet as well as records dating back to new.  The seller also states that the 30k mile service is said to have been conducted at 25k miles.

The sale will include a clean Carfax, all books, service records since new, and two keys.  Don't miss your opportunity to own a prime example of what makes the 996 generation so special.

@Ringmeister Sorry I don't have the stock springs.

  • Ringmeister (registered bidder) 5 years, 1 monthago

Seller, are the stock springs included? Thanks.

  • 1989speedster (seller) 5 years, 1 monthago

@Sxmyachtshop Thanks for the interest. The answers to your questions are below:

    1. Standard stock exhaust.
    2. Car has the factory Hifi sound system.
    3. The suspension is not adjustable. Just has the HR lowering springs. (Its not too low IMO. I am able to clear most driveways by pulling in at an angle).

@1989speedster it has been removed, apologies for the error and thanks to those for pointing it out. The involvement of our members in keeping things accurate is very much appreciated and welcomed.

@Bennettm3 Yes tan interior pic is a mistake. Not sure where that came from...

    Hi Couple quick questions
    Standard or Sport exhaust?
    Standard or Bose stereo?
The HR springs are just to lower the car, in other words is the ride height adjustable ? As it sits its likely to low for my driveway

  • Bennettm3 (registered bidder) 5 years, 1 monthago

Is it safe to assume the tan interior picture is just a mistake?

@maxmoulton Thank you! The car got a lot of looks and compliments at Werks Monterey last month :)

  • 1989speedster (seller) 5 years, 2 monthsago

@Sxmyachtshop Hi, thanks for the interest. The IMS is original. The 1999 came with a double row IMS bearing unlike later models with a single row IMS bearing which is more susceptible to failure. This is the reason I searched for a 1999 model.

RMS is not leaking. Its very dry underneath. Also, included undercarriage shots of the motor in the listing...

  • maxmoulton 5 years, 2 monthsago

Cant get over these aerokits. this car is absolutely gorgeous! def seeing a spike up in interest .

  • Sxmyachtshop (registered bidder) 5 years, 2 monthsago

Have the IMS and RMS been done at any time?
If not is the RMS currently leaking
