Available for auction is this 1999 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Graphite Grey interior. The first of the water-cooled 911s, the 996 generation continues to gain favor among Porsche enthusiasts, thanks to its favorable proportions, light weight, and naturally aspirated flat-six performance. This first-generation 996 Carrera has been cared for by four prior owners, and comes equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, heated and power adjustable seats, 18” 993 Turbo-look wheels, and more. This Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania, while showing approximately 12k miles on the odometer.
This 996 comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (L92U) with a matching removable hardtop and black convertible soft top. The finish is said to remain nicely preserved and the rear window of the cabriolet top was replaced within the last six months. A collection of detailed images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX. It rides on a set of 18” 993 Turbo-look wheels with colored Crest center caps, which come dressed in a set of Federal tires.
The Graphite Grey interior is appointed with optional electrically adjustable seats with driver position memory. Amenities include a CD compartment, an On Board Computer, and a Becker Porsche CDR-220 CD-radio. The cabin remains nicely preserved overall owing to its low mileage, and the seller confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional.
Power comes from a 3.4L flat-six engine which sends up to 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The Carrera 4 comes with Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and fixed four-piston monobloc brake calipers as standard equipment. The CARFAX includes 23 service history records dating back as far as the year 2000, with the most recent coming in June of this year. The seller reports that within the last six months the car has received a new alternator, tires, battery and an oil and filter service.
This sale will include owner’s books, a spare tire, and a clean title. Do not miss your chance to become the next owner of this sparingly driven and well-preserved 996 Carrera .

Wow
Multiple reasons bidding not over 30
-grey not full leather
-cab
-low mile 996’s need mitigated IMS ala Jake Raby
-somewhat abused by a previous owner see driver seat and hand hood levers
-ONE key
MMR is $37,500
That’s wholesale value at Manheim dealers auction.
Adjusted for mileage 12,000 , and condition 5.0
Thank you everyone disappointing this car is worth nearly 40k!

@Collectibleclassics nice it’s a beautiful car. Not as nice as this one though.
Still have the tip will be up on another site shortly.
@Collectibleclassics Looking at your previous auctions. Did the 996 tip sell?
Yep, Mercy, you're right!
I'd jump all over this if I hadn't put so much TLC and $ into perfecting my 131,000 mile 996!
I know damn well it will satisfy my driving jones for a very long time.
I've bought, sold and watched a whole lot of cars I've bid on get "real" in the last 20 minutes or so. FWIW, I think you're also right that this auction should see at least a 3 as the first digit in the final bid. It's well worth that.
It's a REAL Carrera 911. Am shocked at current low bidding activity, however there are most likely many waiting in the bushes to pounce in the final hour.
This is a heck of a good automobile.
@WRENCH.56 I don’t think the bidders are asleep. It’s just the way this auction site rolls. All the serious buyers won’t come out until the last 10-15 mins. This is a great example of why the days pre auction should be brought down to 3 or 4. It’s nerve wracking for the sellers to wait up to 5 days with no comments or bids. Been there done that.
Bids are coming and even with the somewhat soften market this one will have a 3 possibly 4 as the first number at final hammer.
Good afternoon,
Hope everyone is having a lovely day.
This is a 12k mile 911 996 sure to appreciate over the coming years more so than it has already. With just 12,000 original miles, a hardtop and the six speed manual this is the one to own.
Given the reserve there is no point of bidding less than what you actually believe it’s worth. As respectfully $12,250 will not purchase this car. I’ll take as many as you have at $30,000
Back to the car!
It’s lovely. Drives really well. Tons of recent maintance.

Wake up bidders!
I bought a 2001 996 after selling my 993 C4S.
996s are damn good driving machines.
This thing, at such low mileage and having the hard top option, is worth at least twice the current bid.
I know it’s going to tick a lot of people off to read this, but my 996 is lighter, stiffer and more powerful than either of my two previous 993s.
It’s just plain more fun to drive!

IMS is dual row from the factory.
Do not have a DME
Thank you for the inquiry.
@Collectibleclassics Patience you decided to auction on Pcarmarket. An excellent choice. There’s little to no banter here and bids come late. When I sold my 992 I think the first bid came in with 2 days left. Then the car eventually went for 6k over MSRP with 4500 miles on the clock. It’s just the way this site rolls.
But if you would like to engage here’s a few questions and one comment on your nice 996.
DME and IMS?
Lots of wear on the driver’s side seat bolster pic 117 and 124 for only 12k on the clock.
Happy to answer questions. Would love some sort of interaction.
ADDITIONALLY CAN WE GET SOME ACTION HERE FROM THE PCAR COMMUNITY? WE WANT TO SELL CARS HERE BUT WE NEED SOME SERIOUS BIDDERS FOR THIS TO WORK!
