All wondering what reserve was set at lol..
If you drop the engine to do the chain guide pads, you may as well do other things like spark plugs, coils, oil cooler, AOS, IMs etc. That would be a major service. On my car I’m going to wait because I’m going to have Slakker Racing development out of Oklahoma City build me a 3.7 engine. By the way the Porsche Parade this year is in OKC, so I’m planning on going to it and while there I’ll be visiting Slakker.

@luis.seneriz know if that type of service can be done at same time as IMS?
No info at all on Cam deviations so that’s a $4k repair bill which at this mileage is probably needed. Oh well car is probably going to go to deal tanks. I drove my 99 over 200 miles yesterday on a Porsche Club drive thru a bunch of country roads, amazing experience. Wish you guys good luck.

Hopefully this isnt another $31k reserve!
Thanks for the clarification on the IMS. Transparently, without documentation and some IMS solutions having a service life (recommendation to replace again) of about 5-7 years, and the last reference being 2019 that it was done at some point prior (verbally), i'll bid with the expectation this still needs IMS work
The car has continually passed Ca. smog tests. It does come with the original factory air box.
When we purchased the car in 2019, the car was represented as having had the Clutch and IMS replaced.
The records that accompanied the car upon our purchase in 2019 were lost in transport. The car exhibits
perfect clutch action and engagement. The motor has had a deeper oil sump installed as well as regular
maintenance with no signs of IMS failure. As most of you are aware, the 99's had a dual roll IMS bearing and that factory installed bearing has a very low incidence of failure.
Please review the posted service repair invoices and you will see there is very good service as well as no indication of a recommendation for either the IMS or Clutch needing replacement.

@Breakthru Per the BAT auction -> "The Aerokit is OEM but it was not installed at the factory."
@feralcat Per the BAT auction -> "We have no other info on IMS other then its been done by the previous owner and we have no reason not to trust him."
@wab_jr Does the seller know the brand/mfg of this aero kit, “aero kit style”?
I imagine with no mention of it and @seller not responding that IMS work has not been done.
Bid in the amount of $13,000
It says “aero kit style” which means it’s not the OEM aero kit.
What body kit is on this car?
Bid in the amount of $12,000
When did the most recently pass smog? And was this with or without the modifications?
Are any of the original mechanical parts included with the sale?
Hello! Has the IMS bearing and clutch been changed at any time? Has the car been checked for bore scoring?
Bid in the amount of $5,911
Can deviations please? All these dealers selling the 3.4 , 5 chain engines should provide the cam deviations. This is an expensive repair if it’s needed. The parts along are $1231 at FCP Euro. This is a nice looking car. Thanks

Welcome to our auction on an exceptionally clean 99 996 C4. We're here to answer questions during the auction,
so feel to reach out to us.
We purchased this car back in late 2019. It was then sold by us to a local client that purchased it as a present
for one of his employee's. It was the new owner's first Porsche and he treated it with special care. He put less
than 10k miles on it over a six years of ownership. He also had it meticulously serviced by SGS Porsche repair.
The car looks and drives like a 20k mile example. The car is cosmetically a GT3 clone, as the wheels, seats, and
aerokit are all Porsche parts. The car mechanically has been upgraded with GT3 adjustable sway bars, KW V3
suspension, factory short shifter linkage, removable roll bar, and deeper oil sump.
This is truly a car that needs to be seen and test driven to demonstrate the quality of this 996.
Please feel free to come inspect or have a PPI performed if you're a serious buyer. This car won't
disappoint.
