Looks like tool kit in picture of spare tire.

Do you have the tool kit
Some of you were asking for more detailed service records so I uploaded some receipts.

@uscarrera it has cup holders
Final 7 hours, and I believe that after 19 years it’s time that this car should provide enjoyment for someone else. So I’ve lifted the reserve. This car WILL be sold during this auction. If you want it, now’s the time to get in your bid. Good luck!!!
Very important question 😀 Does car have cup holders added to dash?
Just over 8 hours left in the auction. Last chance to bid on this beauty!
@Nehmaiz original clutch - dash has never been removed
Also I assume the car still has the original clutch?
Has the dash been replaced or removed during your ownership? The driving video shows the leather wrinkled, as if the dash was removed and put back?
This is a very nice 996.
I am of the opinion that the 996.1, as the origin of the water cooled 911 species, is a car of the same level of historic importance to Porsche as the first 911s were in their transition from 4 to 6 cylinder cars.
It is also the most analogue of the newer water cooled 911s.
I drive a 2001 996 C4 and find the handling uncanny in its stability and level of stick. I previously drove a 1997 993 C4S and, blasphemous as this may sound, I find my 996 to be a superior vehicle in every regard but collector value. That said, I think that almost all 996s are headed upward in value (for those to whom that matters).
It shouldn't matter. Cars this good are meant to be enjoyed to the fullest. GLWTA!
@Bruno911 yes, sorry for the confusion. The person asked a general question about the differences and I didn’t mean to imply that this car was a wide body.
@jkule22 it’s also not wide body.
Bid in the amount of $27,000
Just some info the only basic spec differences between the 1999 C2 and C4 is two wheel drive vs four, weight the C4 is about 100 + pounds heavier, and fuel mileage is a bit lower on the C4, brakes are the same on both as is stock body.
@Bruno911 it’s not a C4S so it doesn’t have the larger air intakes
@UpNorthMN original paint - no paint meter
@jkule22 The Carrera 4 is a wide body? I thought only the C4S was wide body (other than Turbo).
Do you know if this beauty has all original paint? Have you taken a paint meter to it?
@Silentsteve really a personal opinion but the 4 offers turbo brakes, turbo suspension and AWD. I also prefer the wide body rear end and mine has the aerokit which really makes the car. No real cons unless you prefer a more raw feel, in which case the 2 gives you more of that type of ride.
Near perfect spec. Got a question on Carrera 4 vs 2? As previous owner of a BMW 325ix there was a lot of front drivetrain noise. So the C4 handles better, what are the pros and cons?
Bid in the amount of $25,996
@Archer1 they seem to be working fine and the last time it was in for maintenance there was no need to replace them.
@jkule22 (seller)- Beautiful 996. Q for you, " Other items such as the clutch and axle joints have been checked but not replaced"
Do these items looked fine or you opted not to replace them. Thx
@sp1viper regular maintenance checks have been done regularly and recent services have included a brake fluid flush, belts, cabin filter, RF, filter, etc. Other items such as the clutch and axle joints have been checked but not replaced.
Bid in the amount of $25,000
@uscarrera yes, A/C works great!
Bid in the amount of $20,500
As a fellow Floridian, is the AC cold?
Thanks
Bid in the amount of $20,000
Bid in the amount of $5,250
Carfax doesn’t seem to have reported any major services during the past 10 years (although I understand car hasn’t been been driven much during this time)? Any majors that you have receipts for during these 10 years? Examples may include cooling system, clutch, axle joints ,etc.
Bid in the amount of $5,000
the color and the aero kit really make this car!
Shout out to the seller for that 116400gv Black ;)
Also, thats clearly a 3 spoke wheel, not a 4 spoke as incorrectly stated in the ad copy.
Nice car, Speed Yellow is the best base 996 color.
I own this exact car color and options lol. These cars with these options are going up and up.
@Abuong01 a tad dirty - shouldn’t be a stain from brake dust
@Abuong01 owner #4 - moved to Florida but title still in the same name
Are the wheels a bit dirty or are they stained with the brake dust shown in pictures.
Are you owner number 5 or 4 and 5 with the title changed to FL?
@VSCFL88 correct, the IMS issue tends to affect the 2000-2005 models most but I realize it could affect the 1999 model as well.
No mention of IMS replacement, so I am assuming it hasn't been done. Correct?
P.S. The car is currently parked in Boynton Beach, Florida where it is garage kept and not being driven until the end of the auction.
Hi everyone! I’m excited to have everyone here to see my listing. I’ve had this beauty for 19 years and it’s time that someone else has some fun behind the wheel. Please feel free to post your comments or questions. Thanks!
