This non-sunroof 1999 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe was sold new in Japan and comes factory-finished in Speed Yellow over a Black interior. It features a 3.4-liter flat-six engine mated to a 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transaxle, optional traction control, Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), steering wheel shift buttons, and a rear window wiper. This 996 has also been modified with an exterior Aerokit, a flip-out navigation system, yellow-painted brake calipers, and 18” Sport Design two-piece wheels. Imported to the U.S. by the seller in 2024, this uniquely appointed Carrera is now being offered for auction out of Texas with less than 35k miles showing on the odometer.

Finished in Porsche’s iconic Speed Yellow color, this 996 has been fitted with an exterior Aerokit including a GT3-style front bumper, side skirts, and rear wing. Equipped without bumperettes as standard, the car features a rare non-sunroof configuration and comes equipped with an optional rear window wiper, power mirrors, fog lights, clear side marker lights, tinted windows, dual exhaust outlets, yellow-painted brake calipers, and black-finished 18” Sport Design wheels. The seller notes that the exterior maintains an excellent overall appearance, and the Michelin Pilot Sport tires are about 6 years old, although the rubber remains in very good condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Black interior includes power-adjustable leather front bucket seats, a four-spoke leather steering wheel with Tiptronic shift buttons, Carrera-branded door sills, silver gauge bezels, power windows and door locks, automatic climate control, a Porsche CR-2200 stereo, and an aftermarket Panasonic flip-out LCD navigation screen.

The naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine was factory-rated at 296 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transaxle with a manual shifting mode. The car is equipped with optional electronic traction control, Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and fixed 4-piston brakes with cross-drilled discs at all four corners. The seller indicates that the car was thoroughly inspected before being imported to the U.S. and benefits from a consistent maintenance history, as well as recent replacements of the front brake pads and rotors.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “I am a very detail-oriented engineer, who bought this car for myself. My Japanese agent inspected the car for any underbody rust (none), engine operation (excellent), and overall condition inside and out (excellent). In Japan, every car must be rigorously inspected every 2 years, with any failed items corrected before a new sticker is granted. This comprehensive inspection is called "Shaken".  It includes at least a 60-point inspection, including Safety (Lights, Brakes, Tires, Wipers, Seat Belts, Speedometer accuracy, Exhaust & Horn), Emissions, Operational & Structural Integrity (Steering, Windows, Undercarriage (Corrosion & Loose Bolts), Frame, Engine operation, etc), Engine & Chassis numbers match, etc.  I am moving & no longer have room to store this car.”

@ininov : Not sure, Photo 104 is the stamp, The Aerokit looks like an OEM to me but not sure.

  • ininov (registered bidder) 1 week, 2 daysago

@CharliesClassics, I understand the car was not delivered with the Aerokit, but is it an original Porsche Aerokit, or is it after-market? Does it have a Porsche logo/script on the underside of the "taco"?

@Carrera.Man : The NAV/TV is a Panasonic TV707W IN-DASH 7.0 WIDE COLOR LCD TV. The languages supported depend on the television model's specific operating system and country of distribution, but generally include common languages like English, Spanish, and French.

  • CharliesClassics (seller) 1 week, 3 daysago

@uscarrera : You are correct, picture 104 is from under rear Taco wing spoiler.

  • CharliesClassics (seller) 1 week, 3 daysago

@CharliesClassics : I have a photo of the most recent Japanese "Shaken" inspection/maintenance record at 51,933 km = 32,269 miles. Trying to upload but no success. I do not know what the Panasonic flip out Nav screen is showing, or if it will work in the US, in English. I do know they watch broadcast TV in Japan while in their car. There is no "back-up" camera, however, there is a nice forward or rear facing Dash Camera that turns on when driving. I do not have the original Turbo Twist wheels.

  • Carrera.Man (registered bidder) 1 week, 3 daysago

Is the infotainment and Nav system US compatible?

  • uscarrera (registered bidder) 1 week, 3 daysago

Morning, you posted picture 104 is front bumper spoiler are you sure it is not from under rear Taco wing spoiler? If it is not can you post the similar stamping that should be on the rear wing
    Thanks

  • CupHolders (registered bidder) 1 week, 3 daysago

    Hi again @CharliesClassics,
Picture 70: what is the navigation screen showing? Does it work in the US, in English?
    I assume the back-up camera is a different set-up?
By any chance due you have the original turbo twist wheels?
A driving video using the shift buttons would be helpful. Thank you

  • CharliesClassics (seller) 1 week, 4 daysago

@CupHolders @CupHolders: Yes, I will upload recent Shaken inspection, as soon as I can get back to my storage unit.

  • CharliesClassics (seller) 1 week, 4 daysago

@CupHolders 1) Not sure if Dual Row IMS (<1% failure rate) has been replaced. 2) To my knowledge, All plaques & stickers are in the photos. 3) No paint meter readings, but beautiful to my eye. 4) Sorry, no Google Photos link, the running video is the last picture/video. 5) pic 104 is GT3/Sport design front bumper spoiler , 6) Yes to PPI. Thank You!

  • CupHolders (registered bidder) 1 week, 4 daysago

Hi, can you please also show more recent pages of the shaken inspections, the one you show is when the car had 37,000 km.
    Thanks

  • CupHolders (registered bidder) 1 week, 4 daysago

Hi, cool 911, many questions, let’s start with the basics:
    IMS,RMS replaced?
Can you take a photo of the plaque with the build date on the driver’s side door jam?
    Paint meter readings?
Where is the ‘google photos’ link to see the driving video?
What part is shown in picture 104?
Would you help facilitate a PPI?
    Thank you

  • uscarrera 1 week, 5 daysago

Bid in the amount of $20,000

  • CharliesClassics (seller) 1 week, 6 daysago

uscarrera: Yes, I have a clear Texas title, & the AC is cold.

georgeebinger: There is a running video in the Google Photos link.

  • uscarrera (registered bidder) 1 week, 6 daysago

    AC cold?

  • uscarrera (registered bidder) 1 week, 6 daysago

Does car now have a clear Texas title?

  • CharliesClassics (seller) 2 weeksago

Mr. Georgeebinger: I do not have a run video, but will make one and upload it for you. I bought the car while I was in Japan on 3/4/2024, then had it shipped to Freeport Texas. It arrived the port of Freeport on 6/26/2024 with 32,951 miles on the odometer. Since then I have put 1705 miles on the car, odometer now reads 34,656 miles, per the photos.

Mrmadell: Yes, I have complete official biannual Japanese auto inspection "Shaken" records since the car was new. These records state the odometer reading for each inspection, as well as have a comprehensive safety inspection that would identify any signs of collision damage (no signs of damage are indicated).

  • mrmadell (registered bidder) 2 weeksago

Do you have anything that can verify mileage and no accidents?

  • georgeebinger (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 1 dayago

You have a run video on this car? Did you own in Japan or just got it in 2024?
