Unveiled in 1999, the Porsche's 996 generation marked a significant evolution by adopting a water-cooled flat-six engine. This inaugural-year Carrera Coupe comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over grey full leather upholstery. It features a 6-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, traction control, anti-slip regulation, an automatic braking differential, power seats, and more. Modified with an Aerokit and previously listed on PCARMARKET, this example is now being offered for auction once again by its seller out of New Mexico with just under 52k miles showing on the odometer.
This 996 is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and rides on aftermarket wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires with 43/2017 date codes. A more aggressive stance has been achieved with the fitment of an Aerokit front bumper, rocker panels, and rear wing. Factory equipment includes dual exhaust outlets, an electric sunroof, front fog lights, and Porsche-branded brake calipers. The seller notes a small gap between the side skirts and the body panels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting damage to the left side in May 2002.
Inside, this Carrera features grey full leather upholstery spanning the seats, door panels, and dashboard. Optional equipment includes 8-way power-adjustable seats wih memory functions for the driver. The car also equips an onboard computer, a sound system, a central locking system, automatic climate control, and an electric sunroof. The seller reports the interior remains in good condition and notes a strong scent of eucalyptus is present. All gauges and electronics are said to be working properly.
A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes and cross-drilled rotors at each corner. Optional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, traction control, Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), and an Automatic Braking Differential (ABD). The CARFAX report shows 15 service history records.
