Up for auction is this 1999 Porsche 996 Carrera 4 Coupe finished in Vesuvio Metallic over a Graphite Grey full leather interior. Showcasing several extended leather trim pieces from Porsche’s Exclusive Department as well as an optional leather dashboard, door panels, supple leather seats, and a Tiptronic automatic transmission, this highly unique Carrera 4 is now being offered by its seller out of New York showing approximately 118k miles on the odometer.
Vesuvio Metallic (L40X) was originally offered on the 911 from 1997-2001 and remains one of the rarest and most sought-after Porsche colors of all. This example rides on 18” Turbo-look wheels with colored Porsche crests and Hankook Ventus S-1 tires from 2017. The all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 can be distinguished by its silver-painted brake calipers and rear model designation. Paint meter readings suggest the hood and both front fenders have been previously refinished and the seller notes several small scuffs and imperfections on the roof. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, you will find a premium Graphite Grey (CG) full leather interior with exclusive extended leather covering the ignition lock surround, speaker grilles, instrument surround, air vent brackets, dashboard trim strip, and defroster vents. The heated and power-operated seats also feature optional supple leather upholstery. An integrated magnetic phone mount has been installed and scratches are depicted on the original Porsche Communication Management (PCM) screen.
All four wheels are driven by way of a Tiptronic 5-speed automatic transmission that allows for both automatic and manual gear changes using the buttons on the steering wheel. The naturally aspirated 3.4L flat-six engine produces as much as 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque. Documented maintenance is said to accompany the sale and the seller reports fluid changes have been completed in preparation for the next owner.
This sale will include a clean title.

@Ricster65 I am looking for the condition of these leather covered parts.
Thanks.
@jccaro I can tomorrow. What are you looking for particularly.?
I know it is late in the auction, but are you able to provide additional photographs that show the detail of the upper dash surface to the windshield showing the defroster strip and the two side are vents? Thanks.
@68912Porsche that’s correct
Little confused, the carfax says the tires were replaced in 2021 but the text says they’re from 2017. So did they just get some old tires in 2021?

Seller can you please post a picture of the manufacturing date. Is located on driver side door sill. Thanks. Nice color.
@TreyTaylor341 was not done.
Beautiful color car for sure. To clarify here, the IMS has been fixed up? or has not been? What does "correct" mean?
Thanks in advance.
@bruce48127 Car is located in Connecticut. Yes everything on the car works as intended. Great car
Do all features operate properly, i.e. windows, doors, seats, sunroof ect? Also listing says being offered out of NY but location says CT - where is car located, and where is it titled?
@68912Porsche Correct.
So… just stating the obvious, the ims has not been attended to? Or did I miss it?
I have this exact combo in a '99 2S. Vesuvio is one of the more rare Porsche colors. They only put it on the 911 in certain years.
I have the Cabrio twin to this 996 C4 Tip. Love it. GLWTA.
