This 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe was sold new from Carousel Automobiles of Minneapolis, Minnesota, at an original sticker price of over $80k. It comes finished in optional Speed Yellow paint over a black interior with premium supple leather seats and features a 6-speed manual transmission, optional 18” Turbo Look wheels, a limited-slip differential with traction control, the exclusive Aluminum/Chrome Package, and more. It has been maintained at the seller’s shop for many years and was recently subject to a full 60k-mile service including a new water pump and brakes. This eye-catching first-generation 996 Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida showing approximately 73k miles on the odometer.
This Carrera Coupe was ordered in the optional paint color of Speed Yellow (L12H) at an additional cost of over $3k. Optional 18” Turbo Look light-alloy wheels are also equipped along with colored Porsche crested center caps, a rear window wiper, and the Aluminum/Chrome Package which adds exclusive stainless-steel tailpipes. The brake calipers are painted red and the factory wheels come dressed in a set of Michelin tires from 2016. The damage reported on CARFAX is said to have resulted from the hood being repaired and repainted after a dent caused by an item in the luggage compartment. The bumper was also previously refinished following cosmetic damage caused by a fallen object from another vehicle while driving. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with the full CARFAX report.
The black interior comes fitted with optional heated and power-operated seats trimmed in supple leather upholstery. The Aluminum/Chrome Package adds exclusive aluminum-look instrument dials as well as stainless steel door entry guards with model logos. Other factory options include an onboard computer, Litronic headlights, and headlight washers. Aftermarket front floor mats are currently fitted, and some wear is noted on the shift knob. The original Porsche logo floormats are said to accompany the sale as well.
As much as 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque come from a naturally aspirated 3.4L flat-six engine that drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional limited-slip differential. The seller confirms that the original IMS bearing is in place and states a full 60k-mile service was recently completed including all new filters, spark plugs, accessory belt, water pump, coolant flush, M-1 oil and trans fluid, right window regulator, and hood struts, as well as new Brembo brake pads, rotors, and sensors.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner's manuals, a car cover, toolkit, spare tire, and a clean title.

@robmsales Hey great question. Yes absolutely the filter and oil catch pan were checked for metal fragments, and nothing suspicious was found. That’s pretty standard procedure on any of the older cars when they get oil service. Thx
Hi RussallWitt
On the IMS issue- has your shop cut open the oil filter to check for any metal sign?
I am from the Minneapolis/St Paul and have bought 24 plus cars from the dealer that sold this one- Thanks for your time and help, Rob

@jccaro ....Good eye, yes I believe there are receipts from the The Body Werks for both bumpers being repainted.
@luis.seneriz ......Car is at Creekside Motorsports in Newport Tenn.
Your description mentions that the bumper was refinished and I assume you mean the front. However the rear bumperettes are painted yellow and on that is a distinguishing feature of the 996.2. Can you consume that both front and rear bumpers have been repainted? Thanks.
It’s the car in Tennessee or in Ormond Beach Florida
What an awesome color.
@floman .....It's on the bottom curve of the door in picture 17 of the gallery. I will upload a close up pic of just the build tag tonight. Build date of 12/98. Thanks for your interest.
Would you mind providing a photo of the build date plate. Thanks. Very cool car.

Hello,
We are selling this super nice car for a longtime customer of ours. Very original, well taken care of example. Car is as good as to looks in the pictures. It's not a museum piece, but a great driver. I was tempted to keep for myself....don't see too many Speed Yellow/Black this nice. I'll address this now....the IMS has not been changed to our knowledge. We feel the decision, to drive it like it is, or preventatively replace, is best left to the new owner. Thanks for your interest and good luck. The car is located at our shop Newport Tenn. We can provide delivery help to anyone within a reasonable distance.
nice car, good luck with the sale.
