The Porsche 996 entered the new millennium as the first water-cooled 911, presenting elegant proportions, a lightweight body, and naturally aspirated flat-six performance. This first-gen Carrera Cabriolet comes finished in Speed Yellow and features full black leather upholstery with painted hardback Sport Seats. This 1999 example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of North Carolina showing approximately 73k miles on the odometer.
This 996 comes finished in Speed Yellow with a black cabriolet soft top and a black-painted removable hardtop. It rides on a set of black-finished upgraded Carrera III wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S all-season tires dated 2017 and 2019. The seller notes a hardly noticeable stone chip is present in the windshield, some imperfections on the front spoiler, and the convertible top was serviced approximately one year ago to include new cylinders and actuators. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the cabin presents full black leather upholstery including Sport Seats with Speed Yellow painted backrests and matching deviated stitching. Additional equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, an upgraded Pioneer radio, and upgraded speakers. The seller notes some creasing on the seats, the air conditioning system was serviced in the Fall of 2022, and the airbox dampers have been replaced.
This first-generation 996 Carrera is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine that generates as much as 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission, and stopping power is handled by fixed 4-piston brake calipers paired with ventilated and cross-drilled rotors at all corners. The seller states routine oil changes and transmission oil changes have been carried out under their ownership and an LN Engineering IMS bearing was installed under previous ownership approximately 15k miles ago.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: "I believe I am the third owner of this wonderful 996. It was always garaged by myself and the previous owner. The IMS bearing was addressed by the previous owner by LN Engineering, which can be confirmed by contacting LN with the VIN #."
