Available for auction at no reserve is this 1999 Mercedes-Benz W210 E55 AMG finished in Black over a two-tone black and grey Condor leather interior.  The last of the AMG Mercedes-Benz vehicles to have been produced at the original Affalterbach plant, the W210 E55 features a 5.4L V8 engine hand-built by a sole technician in correspondence with the “one man one engine” philosophy. This pre-facelift 1999 example is said to have been under the care of the same family from new up until the seller’s recent acquisition in 2021.  It features an AMG styling package, 18″ AMG Monoblock wheels, automatic climate control, and heated power-adjustable front seats.  Records are said to be included dating back to 2010 showing over $22k worth of service including a number of items addressed within the last three months.  Currently showing approximately 154k miles on the odometer, this E55 AMG is now being offered for auction at no reserve by its seller out of California.

This E55 is finished in Black and highlights AMG-specific styling including a unique front spoiler, rocker extensions, and rear valance. The seller notes the hood and rear bumper to have been previously refinished for cosmetic purposes, additional photos are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This W210 rides on distinctive 18” AMG Monoblock wheels dressed in a set of Kumho Ecsta tires showing date codes from 2014.

Inside, you will find a premium two-tone black and grey Condor leather interior contrasted by wood trim on the dashboard, center console, and upper door panels. Some of the factory amenities include power-adjustable and heated seats with position memory, automatic climate control, cruise control, a cassette player, a trunk-mounted CD changer, and insulated glass all around.  The steering wheel features a contrasting upper portion in perforated leather and sits ahead of a gauge cluster housing a 160-MPH speedometer and 7k-RPM tachometer. The seller notes that the headliner is beginning to sag toward the rear of the cabin and that the original floor mats will be included with the sale.  The original radio and carphone have been retained and all gauges and accessories are said to be working properly.

Power comes from a hand-built 5.4L M113 V8 engine rated at up to 349 horsepower and 391 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission providing for a 0-60 time of approximately 5 seconds and an electronically governed top speed of 155 MPH. Within the last three months, a new transmission conductor plate is said to have been installed along with a new transmission gasket, wiring, plug, seal, a new temperature sensor, radiator fan clutch, and fluid and filter changes.  Over $22K in service records are said to accompany the sale dating back to 2010, and some additional maintenance history is provided on CARFAX.

This sale will include a clean title and spare tire. A remarkable and largely underrated model, this W210 E55 is considered by many to be among the last true AMG cars.  Do not miss out on this exceptional value.
