The second-generation Dodge Viper (SRII) was introduced in 1996 with an improved aluminum suspension, a more powerful V10 engine, additional amenities, and an RT/10 model featuring a removable hardtop roof. This 1999 Dodge Viper RT/10 is finished in Viper Bright Silver Metallic with a beneath a removable blue vinyl wrap and features a rare Cognac Connolly leather interior. It spent time in Florida and Georgia before moving to Ontario in 2004 where it was kept as part of a private collection for many years. Showing under 56k miles on the odometer, this Viper is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
This 1999 example is finished in Viper Bright Silver Metallic which is covered by a removable blue vinyl wrap and dual white racing stripes. Equipment includes a removable body-colored hardtop and rear window, a forward-hinged clamshell hood, front fog lights, dual center-mounted tailpipes, Viper-branded brake calipers, and polished 18” five-spoke alloy wheels dressed in Pirelli and Michelin tires. The seller notes the vinyl wrap remains in very good condition apart from some small air pockets on the driver’s door. The cabin features Cognac Connolly leather upholstery and matching carpets contrasted by a black dashboard and center console. Accessories include black carpet floor mats, carbon fiber door sill covers, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, an air-conditioning system, power windows, an aftermarket Pioneer stereo, and a subwoofer mounted between the seats. Instrumentation includes a white-faced 7k-rpm tachometer and 200-mph speedometer as well as auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage mounted above the center air vents. The seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
A naturally aspirated 8.0-liter V10 engine delivers up to 450 HP to the rear wheels by way of a Tremec T56 6-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. Mechanical features include power-assisted rack and pinion steering, an aluminum four-wheel independent suspension, and four-wheel vented disc brakes. The seller states a service was completed by the previous owner earlier in 2023 and all available maintenance history is provided on the CARFAX report.
