The fifth generation of Chevrolet's Corvette was available from 1997 to 2004 and was the first GM vehicle to utilize the small block "LS" engines. Equipped with a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, this 1999 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is finished in Magnetic Red Metallic over black leather upholstery. It was further optioned with Sport bucket seats, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, the Active Handling System, the Preferred Equipment Group, the Memory Package, and more. Reportedly acquired by the selling dealer from the original owner, this example is now being offered for auction out of New York with less than 20k miles showing on the odometer.
The C5 generation of the Corvette uses a hydroformed box frame which provides improved structural rigidity, particularly on convertible models. This C5 Convertible is finished in premium Magnetic Red Metallic (86U) and equipped with a black OEM retractable soft top, replacing the factory Bright White top per the seller’s preference. Details include a cowl-style hood to accommodate the supercharger, pop-up headlights, optional fog lights, a chrome-finished quad-exit exhaust system, and body-colored taillight louvers. It rides on a set of staggered-width 17”/18” polished alloy wheels. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver greeted with black leather upholstery. Options include 6-way power-adjustable Sport bucket seats, the Memory Package, electric dual-zone automatic climate control, front floor mats, a remote CD changer, and a power telescoping steering column. Other equipment includes a leather-wrapped Sport steering wheel, a Bose sound system, an AM/FM radio, a cassette player, and power-adjustable heated mirrors.
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 engine is factory-rated at 345 HP and 350 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an optional 6-speed manual transmission featuring 5th and 6th gear overdrive, along with a 3.42 rear axle ratio. The Active Handling System was also selected. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported, and the CARFAX shows a total of 21 service history entries.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Purchased from the original owner, who was an older gentleman with multiple vehicles. This was garaged (climate-controlled) since day 1 and shows to be in concours condition. At risk of sounding like a sales pitch, I must say it's the best driving Corvette from this generation that I have ever experienced. The next owner will be beyond delighted. Please come inspect prior to bidding if desired, just hit contact seller to make an appointment. Happy Bidding!”

@dgpnaples I was able to have Carfax amend the report. It now reflects single owner.
@dgpnaples the car is located in Huntington,NY
I have owned 4 Corvettes ( 90, 91, 99, 2005) all 6 speeds and my 1999 Corvette Hardtop was the best one, in my opinion. I kept that car in my stable until 2021, had 125,000 miles on it when I sold it. The handling on this year Corvette was a great driving car. You have my attention. Is the car located in Florida?
@Trenton the original owner re-registered the vehicle at his home in Florida. This is not the first time we’ve seen Carfax consider this a second owner. It is not correct. The car has been in the same gentleman‘s hands since it left the dealership in 1999. Accompanied with the sale will be copies of registrations from New York and Florida showing the same owners name on both documents. Hope that helps answer your question.
I'm seeing that it says "One-Owner on the post" But when i checked the CarFax it says 2 Owners
Welcome to the listing for this stunning example of a C5. I bought this personally from the original owner who was meticulous, his garage was cleaner than most people's homes! Records since day one, always kept up with including tire changes due to date codes, couldn't ask for more. please come see the car if you are local, you won't be disappointed
