Combining BMW Motorsport technology and open-top driving, the E36 M3 Convertible debuted in 1994 with updated styling, enhanced safety, and a significant power boost. It included a hidden rollover bar that would be deployed instantly in the case of a rollover scenario, along with the new 3.0-liter inline-six engine. This 1999 example comes finished in Estoril Blue Metallic over a Light Grey Nappa leather interior and connects a 5-speed automatic transmission with sport and manual driving modes to its 3.2-liter inline-six. Registered in California until the selling dealer's acquisition in 2022, this M3 is now being offered for auction out of Oregon with approximately 51k miles showing on the odometer.

The M3 can be differentiated from a standard E36 3-Series by its revised front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wing mirrors, and M3 badging on the side moldings and trunk lid. This example comes finished in Estoril Blue Metallic (335) with a blue power-retractable soft top.
