This 1999 BMW 328i sedan has been partially stripped and prepped for track use with racing safety equipment. It features a 2.8-liter inline-six engine, a 5-speed manual transmission, suspension lowering springs, Hawk HPS brake pads, OMP racing bucket seats, a harness bar, and 5-point racing harnesses. This driver development track car is being offered in a no-reserve charity auction out of South Carolina. 100% of the proceeds go to Track Heroes, a nonprofit organization that provides adrenaline therapy to veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families through motorsport experiences.

This E46 was factory-finished in Orient Blue Metallic. It comes equipped with aftermarket headlamps, integrated fog lights, racing decals, a dual-tipped exhaust outlet, and silver 16” Style 42 cross-spoke wheels. A pre-purchase inspection noted that the right-side license plate bulb and front right turn signal are out, and the tires show 2018 production date codes. Signs of age and road-going wear are present throughout the exterior. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The beige interior has been stripped of headliner, carpeting, and rear seats. It features OMP TRS-E front bucket seats, an adjustable driver’s seat slider, a harness bar, and 5-point harnesses. Several warning lights are present on the dashboard, and the A/C compressor is inoperable.

The naturally aspirated 2.8-liter M52 inline-six engine delivers up to 190 HP and 206 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. The suspension has been modified with lowering springs, and the brakes are equipped with high-performance Hawk HPS pads. The seller notes that the ABS and DSC programs are fully functional. A pre-purchase inspection by Autometrics shows the clutch pedal needed to be pumped to engage the clutch, indicating a possible leak in the hydraulic system. It also notes the engine is ticking at idle, the brake calipers and rotors are corroded, and the brake pads have 8mm left

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Track Heroes is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families by connecting them with healing experiences on the racetrack. Through adrenaline therapy, camaraderie, and motorsports-based events, Track Heroes creates meaningful, restorative opportunities for those who’ve served and sacrificed. We built this car as a novice/ lower intermediate driving school car. It is a great car for novices as it isn't overpowered, and the suspension is somewhat soft. Thus a beginner will be able to feel all of the car feedback easily, and can learn to drive to its limit at a safer speed, allowing more reaction time. I've known the Track Heroes organizer for a long time, and their program is fantastic. With some easy DIY maintenance, this car should be a great buy.

    Greetings PCAR members,

Thank you for taking a moment to check out this special charity auction. This 1999 BMW 328i isn’t just another car—it’s an opportunity to support a powerful cause close to my heart.

I’m a Marine Corps veteran who spent seven years deployed in the Middle East, and I’ve seen firsthand the lasting impact combat and service can have on our nation’s heroes. That’s why I’ve partnered with Track Heroes, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that uses motorsports as adrenaline therapy to help veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families rediscover purpose, passion, and community and help them heal from the internal battle that our warriors now face.

100% of the proceeds from this sale will go directly to Track Heroes, and since it benefits a verified nonprofit, the winning bidder may be eligible for a charitable tax deduction—be sure to consult your tax professional for guidance.

    About Track Heroes:
Track Heroes was founded to serve those who have served us. Through curated track day experiences, coaching, and community events, they offer high-adrenaline healing and camaraderie that traditional therapy often can’t provide. Whether it's riding in a race car, attending a motorsport event, or connecting with others who understand the road they've traveled, Track Heroes is making a difference one lap at a time.

If you’re looking for a track-ready E46 with proven reliability and smart safety upgrades, this BMW fits the bill. But more importantly, your bid helps provide life-changing experiences to America’s real heroes.

Thank you for your support—and for giving back through your passion for driving.

    Semper Fi,
    James
