Representing Porsche’s original Boxster model, this 1998 Porsche 986 Boxster is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black interior and features a 5-speed manual transmission paired with its mid-mounted flat-six engine. It is said to have been driven sparingly during summer months by its previous two owners and is now being offered for auction out of New York with approximately 70k miles showing on the odometer.
This 986 is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a matching convertible top and silver 17” alloy wheels. Other equipment includes a speed-activated rear spoiler, integrated side air intakes, red brake calipers, silver roll hoops, a removable wind deflector, and a center-mounted exhaust outlet. The car rides on 17” Sport Classic wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The seller notes an area of faded paint on the left front bumper, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black partial leather interior features a pair of adjustable bucket seats, a four-spoke leather steering wheel, aluminum-look instrument dials, and stainless-steel Boxster logo door sills. Other accessories include an aluminum-trimmed gear knob and handbrake, automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, power windows, a CD storage compartment, a Kenwood Bluetooth stereo, a trunk-mounted CD changer, and WeatherTech rubber floor liners.
A naturally aspirated 2.5-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 201 HP and 181 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. Stopping power is facilitated by fixed 4-piston brakes and ventilated discs at each corner. The seller reports that standard maintenance has been performed as needed.
This sale will include a car cover and a clean title.

Thank you for the clarification.
In my state this would qualify for Collector plates, allowing you to register it once and never have to pay registration fee again. Hard to believe this beauty is over 25 years old.
@SLGold1606 vehicles prior to 2000 are not impacted by the IMS issues according to our findings.
Seems like it was well cared for…I get nervous on the IMS issue and think that current bid reflects similar concerns…but do expect to render a bid by tomorrow.
So clean. So lovely. Such a great color combination.
apologize to everyone, i was away for a couple of days,
For the last three years when the car was driven recreationally and we know the history of the car the IMS has not been done.
We have the records of oil changes, NYS inspections and all safety repairs required for it. No major repair was required and\or performed during this time.
If the freight question is for me, I have to investigate that.
Feel free to contact me if I can be of further help
