Up for auction is a concourse level 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S. Being part of the last generation of air cooled 911’s, this 993 is extremely sought after and holds a special place in Porsche history. This specific example stands out among the rest due to its extremely low mileage, exclusive factory options, and extensive documentation.
The car started life in California and eventually made its way to Florida where it was purchased by the current owner. It now resides in New York as part of a collection, being looked over daily and kept on a battery tender. It has been stored in a temperature regulated facility for the past 9 years and has only been driven at total of 300 miles since.
This 993 still holds its original Arctic Silver paint. It is stated to be in show quality condition with paint protection film covering half hood, headlights, and rocker panels. The film seems to have been installed when new. This car equipped with the desirable factory Aero package which was installed at the dealer when new. It also features Porsche factory 18” Turbo twist wheels that wear Bridgestone tires.
Inside this Carrera, you will notice the special ordered Boxster Red leather interior. This is an exclusive $4k option not seen in many 993 models. Complementing this unique interior are a handful of factory options such as HiFi sound package, power seat package, 6-disc remote CD changer, and aluminum/chrome package covering the shifter and brake handle. All functions are in working order and the condition is said to be like new with minimal wear.
This 993 retains its original 3.6L flat-six engine delivering power to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. Equipped with 282HP and the desirable motor sound package, this C2S provides pleasurable driving experience. The seller states that this car has been regularly serviced since new and looked over on a daily basis. It is in excellent running condition.
