One of approximately 550 examples produced in the model’s final year, this 1998 Porsche 993 Turbo features a rare factory configuration, including the X50 Turbo Powerkit, on par with the Turbo S variant. This upgrade boosts the twin-turbocharged flat-six engine for an output of 430 HP using larger K22 turbos, upgraded intercoolers, a revised ECU, and a high-flow exhaust system. Initially delivered to Porsche Centre Pforzheim, Germany, in April 1998, it is finished in Black over matching upholstery and includes stainless steel tailpipes, aluminum-look instrument dials with chromed rings, an aluminum shift knob, a parking brake lever, and more. The service book shows regular maintenance until October 2006 at 64,068 kilometers. Imported from Europe to Canada in 2022, this highly collectible Turbo is now offered for auction with approximately 64k kilometers (40k miles) on the odometer.
The 993 Turbo presents wider bodywork than a contemporary Carrera, unique bumpers, a body-colored “whale tail” rear spoiler, and larger brake calipers finished in red. This example comes finished in Black and rides on 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels with Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires from 2003 and 2006. Equipment also includes European-market lighting with clear side indicators, Litronic xenon headlamps with washer jets, integrated fog lights, a rear window wiper, and optional stainless steel exhaust outlets. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Black leather upholstery, including heated and power-operated front seats with driver’s lumbar support. Additional options include aluminum-look instrument dials with chromed rings, an aluminum shift knob and parking brake lever, stainless steel door entry guards with model insignias, automatic speed control, and interior monitoring.
Power is derived from an air-cooled twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six engine, driving all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional X50 Powerkit includes K22 turbochargers, revised ECU tuning, and an additional oil cooler to produce up to 430 HP, a 30 HP increase over the standard 993 Turbo. The seller adds that service items in April 2023 included rebuilding the turbos and upgrading the oil-feed line.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a spare tire.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for viewing our beautiful X50 package 993 Turbo. This is a car that was purchased at the Goodwood members meeting auction. The X50 package makes this car very special since that is the standard engine package on the run-out Turbo S 993. The addition of the X50 power pack with its adapted ECU meant that the maximum output rose to 430hp (331kw) and gained an additional oil cooler and a twin-chrome pipe exhaust from the 993 Turbo S model. The car has had turbos rebuilt in 2023 to make sure the engine was running properly and maximum boost. This highly collectible X50 power kit car is finished in all black livery and aluminum factory touches on the inside.”

Has the car had any paintwork? My understanding is paint meter readings should be between 4-7 with a slight allowance and anything over 8 is respray. I see a 9 in your pictures.

Only XLC option code (WLS2) had bigger K24 with 450 hp.
